I was never his biggest fan but he has shown improvement this year and should be kept for depth if anything else.

great news re: bird. i'll go out on a limb and say we'll be glad in two years time that he stayed with us. rep potential

rieck ? yes at a reduced rate as PL backup. not premiership standard and that's what we must aim for if we're ever going to achieve it. very quick and decent in attack - if he could sort his defence and reading of the play then i'd reconsider my evaluation.

Bird to me proved enough from his 'short' comeback that he was well worth retaining, SS and Blind Freddy must see that.

As far as Riek is concerned you gotta feel a little sorry for the bloke as he put in some less than ordinary perfomances of late ....

He's still got potential imo but bad timing as well!!
