If we're going to slip into the finals, the 2011 is the blueprint. Didn't lose to a bottom 8 side all year (unless the dogs didn't make the finals?)

Titans x 2, Dragons x 2, Raiders x 2, Tigers x 2 + Eels need to be nine wins.

As long as we can keep other sides on edge knowing we can put on a score if they slack off then we will always be in with a fight. Bennett had no plan B. It was mere hope our high completions and defence were enough. No big surprise we played our best footy once he said he was leaving. we only really got rolled by the eventual premiers who were on fire that day and I believe they would have smacked anyone they played up there in Cairns. Dane's defence was horrendous but I don't blame him. The key for me is if we get Tariq running effectively on the left edge. He is the hard running backrower we have been missing for the last decade. At least i hope. Many in the know i have read feel he is potentially the buy of the year.

Victory over the Warriors will be a near final like win for us even in round 1, cos I feel they have the potential to be the minor premiers if Johnston can control their games for 80 mins. He is the best halfback in the world right now. They are the perfect round 1 test for us and will leave us under no illusions as to what awaits us this year. The Warriors are the most dangerous side in the comp when they decide to turn up.

lol. Put mullo behind the roosters, dogs or souths pack and see how good he is. The guy has been hindered by a decade of weak packs.

Yep the Roosters have such a good pack they make Pearce look above average. Mullen would kill it and be a regular in SOO if we had a decent pack and Roberts would be hailed as the next big thing.

Seeing as we are about to bend your rabble over again, I thought this thread deserved a bump, too much quality posts in such a small thread.

Especially the bit about this being a team which Wayne built while the team which Griffin build are playing well at the moment.
