Williams says he is coming to Parra to play NRL and not Wenty, so if that eventuates we have 3 centres and we are allegedly buying an NRL winger.

That's not really his decision to make. It's good to see he has some self belief but I can't see BA selecting him in the halves if Guth proves to be the better option.

I'm sure he'll be given every opportunity in preseason but there's no way he'd have it written into his contract that he plays first grade. Quite possibly the negotiating process took place before Guth had shown what he is capable of in the halves.

He would've been told he has a chance of fighting for a spot, with the salary to match (maybe $200k). Whereas his Canberra offer would have been a confirmed backup $100k or less.

It wont be in any contract, probably just talks with BA regarding where he would play. There is never any guarantee but the talks must have went well if he decided to move.
