The thought of cheering a consistently successful team of 80% locals is more attractive than the occasional premiership window. That's a pipe dream for other clubs, but a genuine possibility at Penrith.

Gus has also said previously that a point will come in the future when his position will become redundant as all the right people will be in key positions within the club knowing what to do that he simply won't be required.

Well, that may true as to running a football team.

But financially he is riding on the backs of the assets built up by the business managers of the past.

And don't worry there are some very hungry snouts snorting around the place as we speak and plenty of assets to feed them with.
