The club has resigned Hame (nz Herald)so it does not look good for Awen's signature.

At the end of the day, I think it's about looking after the future and not
the past.

They may keep Awen as well with his discount, but if they did, I would
further question their inaction on Webby.

Cheers

Depends what they pay Awen to stay. What do reckon he's worth? I'd say $200-$250K (minus the $100K discount so effectively $100-$150k). That still leaves $200-$250 to spend on other players before you hit what Webby was claimed to be asking ($350K wasn't it?). What do you reckon they spent on re-signing Hame? Better not have been much upwards of $60K....

depends what laukai and awen on. one would hope lauaki isn't on too much past 100k and awen if they keep will proabbly be on 200-250 with 100 off that being knocked off.

at the end of the day it won't matter what happens some fans will always blame the club for webby going.

I'd say Hame is around 120K....at an educated guess.

I think folks could have understood the Webby thing better if the club had
at least made some effort, but to not even talk to the player looks pretty
unforgivable.

If he'd made it clear his asking price was $350k plus and that the ESL were prepared to pay that then what was the point in protracted negotiations ifthe club knew damn well they couldn't pay that? It's all window dressing in the end.

or the once mighty Wigan...

wigan with fielden won't drop, and harlequins will do enough to stay up. huddersfield may be in trouble (gosh didn't see castleford beating warrington - go danny brough) so wakefield which is only 1 win ahead of wigan are in more trouble.

p.s. thomas leulaui doesn't want to stay at harlequins next year and may end up in wigan.

Yeah I thought I heard eddie and stevo say that as well.

BTW how much do you reakon henry Paul would be on? I heard unsubstantiated rumours that Canberra were after him... or was that Robbie Paul? Either way, for a decent asking rate, I would have either of them.

henry and robbie both are not off contract though. robbie will be released more than henry, from what i have heard henry has been playing quite well.
