I haven't read too much into it at all. I'm not knocking his passion for the Maggies, but that comment by him really painted a bleak impression of his support for the JV (Even though he may be a passionate supporter of it)

I'd expect a passionate supporter to be more accepting of the JV than that. I don't speak ill of the JV in regards to Balmain. I realised before the JV that my team was struggling and I am very proud that we merged with a foundation club as well. I don't see the JV as a burden (As it appeared in Gobbs post) I see it as a saviour that should be embraced.

Balmain weren't struggling, neither were Western Suburbs (on-field yes, fair enough, but proved the youth were coming through, persistence and pateince was needed, but sadly neglected by News ltd.) but both clubs were no where near the red and still could pay the bills. To be informed by a few corporate suits who have had more hot lunches than watched games of Rugby League is what upset the majority of both sets of supporters.

I completely conquer with you about the Joint-Venture being a lifeline to both club's and its respective supporters, no problems there at all...It's just the way it came about is what was so painful to again, majority of fans from both sides of the fence. Not all that sad when you heard that you're club was sacrificing everything it stood for, for 92 years? Sorry, but that seems very strange to me. 9/10 fans i imagine would have been gutted. But each to their own i suppose. My orignal post was meant to be read in a sarcastic manner to make eelsta realise that he has no idea what pain in Rugby League is. I'm sorry you continue to see it in a negative context, not meaning to have a go at you mate, but perhaps you have a negative outlook upon life, hence the reason, you took a cheap shot at my post...

I think you have....I think it come across quite obviously he was talking past tense, about when the JV was first merged.
There were certainly no balloons and streamers when I first heard the Magpies would no longer have a top grade team......its taken time to embrace the JV.

I know you hate Wests/Balmain topics/discussions/arguments Madunit, but in this case I think youve almost turned this into the very thing you despise.
