Hadley not stopping the rot!

Hadley had Noyce on 2gb this arvo and the discussion was mainly about the prospect of WT having Telstra Stadium as there permanent home ground as of next year.
But one thing that surprised me about the interview is when Hadley said to Noyce that Wests Tigers have got to be kidding if they continue to play games out of Leichhardt, he said that the Future is in the South West(macarthur) of Sydney were there is a growth of 10,000 people per month.
Hadley said that dwindling crowd figures at Leichhardt an area that is heavily congested by older people and at best only a minority of young who live in unit's would not help the cause of the Wests Tiger's.He then went on and also said that the STOP THE ROT campaign are kidding themselves if they think they are going to get assistance from the government when there are more important issue's to worry about like school's and hospital's.

But when Hadley mentioned the fact about the dwindling crowd figures at Leichhardt Oval, I thought maybe Hadley should ask the 18,883 people that were at Leichhardt oval against Parramatta not so long ago.
How elderly they are??

Farkin Goose he is. Rif and Cullus were on there and he treated them with no respect at all. Made a mockery of Cullus' discussion with Junior and basically said Junior would agree to anything including relocating to campbelltown as the Wests Magpies.

Hadley has never been on our side but disappointing that Blocker seems to not care whilst he sits in Hadley's pocket.

He didn't debate the issue properly and then cut them off or turned the mic down on them so he could speak over them.

You guys all know we want games shared by Leichhardt and Campbelltown and no increase in games at Telstra. Well it appears there will be 6 at Telstra next year. I am not happy about this as anyone at the STR forum would know.

Also on Hadley, even if he disagrees with us I thought he would let people have their say and maybe even mention the website so people can research the issue for themselves.. Then I woke up.

f**k, anywhere but Telstra Stadium pleaseeeee!

Of course I'll still go, but there goes any sort of home ground advantage. The place is a concrete haven with absolutely no life whatsoever.

Must admit,I did'nt want to seem as though I was bagging a Balmain legend in Roach. But I too Sincas was surprised that Blocker had not much in the defence of WT.
Usually t.v celebrity's and radio celeb's alike do there best to influence situation's like Ray Martin with South's etc...etc...
But Noooo.... not us we even have to fend for ourselves there as well.
Suppose we will alway's be Battler's Sincas.
p.s.....when is the WT official site back up?????

I think after what happened to RLEAGUE.COM and possible defamation and legal hassle's, before it closed down the first time with Hadley's influence, perhaps they thought "f**k this is to hard".

I also heard this too! Imagine Telstra Stadium, it makes even a good crowd look like no-one turns up to the game

The Club is worried about money, did you here Steve Noyce talk about what I posted here a few days ago, how much it costs to have a game at home?

Now that you mentioned it Shaz, the game against Melbourne the other week when it was freezing with about 5000 people was a $45,000 loss according to Noyce.

Well let me put it to you this way Dominic,If we don't play out of there, were we are guaranteed to make a profit because of the deal Telstra Stadium offer's, were they promise you x amount of dollar's for playing at the stadium.Your club may well end up in the Mortuary.

the club gets a bit of a windfall out of it.. what do the fans get?
this year the fans were turning up in numbers to the home games.. and now the club turns their back on the fans like this.. it's a joke..
as long as the money is put to good use somehow.. maybe fixing up the grounds or at least making a start on fixing up the grounds so that it isn't such a loss when we play there in the future.. then i can accept that.. BUT if the money isn't spent wisely and we don't hear anything about how the money is spent.. then it's a deadset joke..

It's quite sad is'nt it. :(
It seem's as though the more and more the JV progresses the further away it's getting from our heritage of our roots of what Wests and Balmain once were.
No more Balmain,no more Magpies and now it look's as though it will be no more Leichhardt and no more Campbelltown. :(
What next relocate to Alice Springs??

Please provide details of those costs because i have noticed inconsistencies in some of the figures I have heard. Would love to see a few receipts.

I hope you have Foxtel then. I am putting Telstra games in the away game category from now on. If I can make it, I will go. Whereas I ensure I don't miss a home game at Leichhardt and Campbelltown (unless exceptional circumstances prevail).

he listed a whole bunch of costs in that article that stated the tigers had the license till 2011..
the general cost was around 45-50k per game
that was for light rentals, big screen rental and extra people at the gates taking tickets etc..

How exactly do you know my name? Just curious

So what are we going to do? This is a major stop gap.....do you honestly think that they will continue playing 1 game at Jade Stadium, 6 at Telstra and divide the rest between Campbelltown and Leichhardt respectively until 2011? No way in hell, they aren't dumb, but we aren't dumb either - there is a big push to get one home ground......that my friends is looking like C'town

Mate, the club is as good as dead and sitting on the autopsy table in a mortuary for me because when they screw the fans who have stuck with the JV then they are screwing with the wrong people
