Anyone prepared to rank the halves?
I’ll give it a go.

1. Cowboys - Thurston, Morgan
2. Roosters - Cronk, Keary
3. Dragons - Widdop, Hunt
4. Panthers - Maloney, Cleary
5. Warriors - Johnson, Green
6. Storm - Munster, Croft
7. Eels - Norman, Moses
8. Knights - Pearce, Watson
9. Rabbitohs - Reynolds, Walker
10. Sharks - Townsend, Moylan
11. Broncos - Milford, Nikorima
12. Sea Eagles - DCE, ???
13. Titans - Taylor, Elgey
14. Raiders - Sezer, Austin
15. Tigers - Brooks, Reynolds
16. Bulldogs - Foran, ???

Harder then I thought it was going to be. Could probably do it again tomorrow and come away with a completely different order
Looks about right on paper

What are you talking about?

Big dog is always gonna be in charge of the side. Johns and Lockyer took control because they were Johns and f**king Lockyer. No moderating their game, merkins get in line to play off of them.

JT's gear is 'be f**king brilliant'. He's fulfilled that role pretty well and he won't be changing his style to fit anyone else in. Do you expect JT to change it up because Gagai comes into the side?

I agree with you but what is the Gagai point?

Going to be an interesting year, the battle of the bulge might take a back seat without the need for less interchange . . . most eyes will be on the Halves

. . . maybe Gagai can play 5/8

You said ‘Morgan got moved to Fullback because of Ray Thompson’ and posted stats from 2013.

Morgan played his first game at FB in 2014 which was due to Lachlan Coote doing his knee in the Auckland 9’s you f**king idiot.

Morgans best mate (Alex Elisala) commited suicide in 2013 hence why his drop in form and was actually thinking about giving football away.

Dude that was back when he was still trying to crack into the team. He didn’t become a regular first grader til 2014, when he played fullback after Coote got injured. Then when Coote came back he shifted back to the halves and they won the comp.

It’s completely different scenario to the likes of Jarryd Hayne getting punted from fullback in favour of Tyrone Roberts or something like that

it doesn't change the original statement

IF you were actually watching at the time you would remember how badly he was struggling with forming a partnership with JT.

they could have played thompson at 1, bottom line morgan sucked so bad at halves, he wasn't going back there at that point in time.

And if you also remember in 2013, one of his closest friends committed suicide. He had to take time off and was close to giving the game away. He has admitted that he lost interest in footy for a bit after that.

Does this mean the teams will finish in this order at the end of the regular season?

Course not. Having the best halves means nothing if the rest of the team is crap. One of the main reasons I don’t think the roosters will win ithe comp is because outside of their spine their really isn’t much. And having a poor halves pairing isn’t the end of it either, I mean the Broncos won with Shane Perry as their halfback

For mine:

Eels up to 3rd. Norman and Moses IMO are both better than average with potential to be great.
Warriors up to 4th.
Johnson is a little inconsistent but still one of the better 7s in the comp. Green should be a good partner for him.

Dragons drop to 5th.
Panthers drop to 6th.
Storm drop to 7th.

Not the order I think the ladder will be in. Halves are only part of the puzzle.
