Roosters are the only team with massive improvement in them. 2 grand finalists equal premiership.

by that logic there will be a few premiers

Dogs - Keating and Reynolds (Bulldogs 2012)
Sharks - Carney and Robson (Roosters 10 and Eels 09)
Manly - Cherry-Evans and Foran (Manly 2011 premiers)
Melbourne - Cronk and Widdop (2012 Premiers)

dumb logic is dumb

 None of those have the skill that Pearce and Maloney have. Both will play origin this year.

For me the halves pairing in that list that can surprise a lot of people is Wallace and Prince. I would not be shocked if it didn't take long for them to dominate.

Wallace and Lockyer = barely average. Imagine Wallace and Prince  it would be the worst halves pairing in the game barring Walsh and anyone.

If Panthers finally ditch Walsh we could have a solid halves pairing.

His average game is a 2 or 3 out of 10. His top games are 7 or 8. But in his best games it's usually behind our forward pack dominating and/or our kick chase making his kicks look good. So when he performs at a 7 or 8 I would expect one of the better halves to be a 9 or 10.

I liked what I saw of Coote in the #6 jersey. I think he will be much better after an off-season training to play in the halves and hopefully bulking up a bit to help out with his defence.

If Walsh is our halfback next season, I think we're easily in the bottom 4 halves pairings. If Harry Siejka, Arana Taumata, Blake Austin or someone else get a chance with Coote in the halves next season and are given a proper chance... we could definitely find a stronger combination and possibly be closer to a top 8 halves pairing.

Not sure how many chances he needs to fail to deliver on before we give someone else even 1% of the chance he has gotten.

Cherry-Evans is pretty overrated, he was completely lost without Foran this year, he's good but I don't think he's got as much improvement in him as others

Take the east off and your name would be accurate

DCE was alone out there, Liam Foran isn't half the player his little brother is

Teams used the old adage of "cut off the head and the body will fall" against us

Lockyer + anybody is going to be much better than average. How many games has Lockyer won by himself...?

Pearce is massively overrated, why he has a mortgage on the Blues #7 when so many others were punted after one game I don't know... Maloney on the other hand was looking a great player a couple of years back, but needs to recapture some form or will turn into a one season wonder.

Great joke bro. I don't care how good or bad the Foran bros are, he was exposed when he was the main playmaker. Other halves rated as highly as him can still perform in that scenario. He's not shit but he is overrated

Holy moly... this guy saw it coming...

Also...

"Predictions
Minor Premiers: Roosters
Premiers: Roosters
Dally M: Sonny Bill Williams or Mitchell Pearce
Top Tryscorer: Michael Jennings
Top Pointscorer: James Maloney"

He got 4/5 as well...

Norman Moses best halves pairing 2018
Thurston morgan
Maloney Cleary
Hunt Widdop
Cronk Keary

I’m happy with Cronk and Keary but Thurston and Morgan will be a great one but I really think the Maloney and Cleary combo will be the stand out one of the season.
