Disco....we could be trying to sign anyone...we've been in the papers over the past 12 months trying to sign, Kennedy, Lyon, Johns, Lockyer....to name a few. The Roosters are used by player managers to boast about a player's popularity. "If an affluent club like Easts want him, imagine how good he is..imagine what he's really worth?" Its the oldest marketting trick in the book. Sure we might be trying to sign him...but there's no proof that we are. its all Telecrap nonsense, and until such a time comes when he does sign, then its all bullcrap. the problem here is everytime a player is linked to the Roosters, its taken as gospel. The majority of fans allow their hatred for Easts to get the better of their judgement.

I have no probelm with clubs buying other players, lets get that straight, its smart business, and nowhere in my post do I indicate otherwise. The point I was trying to make is you jump on here bagging a player that has been recognised as a player with a lot of potential (even by prince gould) and then just flat out state he would never be signed to the roosters. Granted right now all he has is a lot of potential and is yet to prove anything, but thats what the rooters do isnt it?? Create superstars from potential??


What club wouldnt want Jamie Lyon?? Even your mighty roosters could find a spot in the the 17 for him. Sure it sucks when you are on the receiving end of it and your club is raided, especially when a favorite player of yours leaves, but hey, if your club cant keep him, or he doesnt want to play for your club then thats life.

For the record, I got a little excited when I saw that footage of Lyon with the eagles jumper on him, suited him nicely and I hope he does come and play for us next year, Lord knows we could use him.

I know player managers ploys and i know that this is likely BS, but that doesn't mean that King is not a good player, and it doesn't mean that there is a chance that u guys do want him, i mean there are two sides of the story and there are always people who will take the telecraps word as gospel and those who will take stuarts word as gospel but no matter who you believe it just wreeks of arrogance that you roosters supporters come out and laugh at King (oh his hopeless how could as roosters possibly want him), because someone had the audacity to say u might want him.

What we have done is frontloaded alot of our players contracts in order to fulfill this years cap and give us plenty of room for next year, so picking up Lyon shouldn't be a problem
