I watched both teams trials at Parker Street and Doug Rennie Field and was underwhelmed. Thought at the time it was just trials, 30 odd players used in each but it just seemed there wasn’t a lot of quality.

Once the season proper started it wasn’t much better, both sides were seriously lacking in quality And in the end the results speak for themselves. While overall it is disappointing, it probably doesn’t mean all that much. As has been pointed out you only really need a couple of players from these grades who may be good enough to progress to the seniors and perhaps NRL.

You won't get an argument from me about lack of depth. I'd say that is an issue across the board as guys want to see a path to FG. So freely move
