The matts and ball are improving every week after slow starts, glanville was in outstanding form for the matts as was lodge again. The ball played tough against a very goobd tigers tean that had only lost once this year before saturday. Takina and joe-lee were the best up front while robinson and hetriks were standout in the backs. Ryan Wilson had a day to forget, getting hooked early in the second half. Looking at he draw both teams will make the playoffs. Ball could get as high as fifth and matts seventh, you never know what might happen from there.Harold Matthews:
Penrith 16 defeated Balmain 10 (Tries: Robert Jennings, Aidan Glanville, Dennis Williams. Goals: Aidan Glanville - 2)
SG Gall:
Penrith 28 defeated Balmain 18 (Tries: Joe-Lee Vaimasenvu, Ben Heterick, Clay Robinson, Tony Satini, Jacob Maklouf. Goals: Ben Heterick - 4)
very interesting game of footy between the ball and the academy on the weekend almost a repeat of two years ago when are penrith going to realise they are ignoring there best coaches with liggins pulling off a win against the ball two years ago against that pensioner beverage and then the weekends game went down to the wire with coach mitchell against golden boy atkins i guess hes not the coach they thought he was,,...Rd8 Junior Rep Teams

My missus could of coached that team to a grandfinal look at the team he had but he was outcoached on the weekend look at the players at the academy half the side is a year young and four parra players didnt even go to the academy so they got four or five that didnt even have an off season and the academy had two tries denied....nothing unfair about facts...Bit unfair those comments stretch, brett atkinson did win a comp after all and I suppose he still managed to win the game at the weekend unlike the Penrith coach two years ago. How did the Matthews game go?
My missus could of coached that team to a grandfinal look at the team he had .
The Parra team last year was pretty impressive too....
So your telling me that the academy who have lost most of there games by 12 points or less and beat canberra and got beat with 60 seconds on the clock by the leaders of the comp and by all reports got robbed by western australia referee over there is a bad year for an academy team well your a hard marker and its funny how parramatta always beat the academy teams by 50 and penrith always struggle i think the coach has done an awesome job with the team he has ;Evan Lee,Brendon Jones,Carlos Lopa,Nathan Rumsby, leonati Felikatau,Lomio Mafi,David Anjelic,Roty Teuku,Mitchell Burt,Luke Meura, john f**kafoko, all 17 year olds i think only a good coaching effort has kept them close to any team....Exactly, Atko did very well to win the comp. I am not so sure that NEARLY being beat by the Academy proves he was out coached. The Academy havent had a great year either, maybe Penriths players took it a bit lightly. Im sorry stretch but I think youre clutching at straws a bit

Well well well the supercoach has failed and as i said before he had the team last year but not this year maybe he lost all his players the day he bragged about being an ex first grader even though his two assistants had played first grade and it obviously dosent calculate into being a good coach maybe the people who make decisions about coaches go with the guys who have been part of the district and watch and know there players instead of blowins that have zero coaching experience bye bye atko....I wont deny the academy coach has done a good job, he certainly hasnt done a bad one. They are competitive. I STILL think it unfair to have a go at Coach Atkins based on one game, thats all I am saying Stretch. I suppose I am sticking up for Atko
Its not a spelling and grammer test....its a forum but good try at trying to bag me...Stretcher you will have to start using some punctuation. That above post is awfully difficult to read.
What a disappointing season for the Sg Ball, cannot believe we got rolled by Western Australia, lets hope the Matts can pull off a miracle finish to the season
