I understood St Marys Stadium turn up 4.00pm games at 6.00pm That's when my young bloke plays. Then Saturday 8.00am for 10.00am for the others.

My undrstanding was that the panthers were keeping the people in club land happy. the clubs were asked which players they thought were up to rep footy. so there was an avalanch of replies, that's the reason for the trials on wed night. your right, the standard of footy was not very good, but i think it was good for the kids that trialed, to keep them interested in the game & wanting to come back next year & play for their local clubs.

The day was a good success giving the boys a chance to claim their positions i think their will be letters send out to players who have made the squad of 40 around that number, their will be another trial in November for the Harold matts final team to be selected.

The 2 young boys 14 yrs shane coppins, and half joe vaegaau played quite well but would not be playing for a harold matts spot, from the 15 jayden ross played quite well busted some lines at times beau from windsor played quite well and Blake milgate organized quite well ethan from st clair played ok to,i also seen tarshay duffy playing at the trials he played only 2 games all year whats going on their.

Hard to guage. There were 80 plus players there, not all at the same standard..Some of the players have not played for some weeks. I would guess the selectors were looking at defence and teamwork. Matts pre season training will sort it out.

The other noticible thing was direct combatitents did not face each other. Of the 14s Shame Coppins and Sam Mckinlay should be in the squad. Remember Matts is limited interchange that may restrict potential of bigger less mobile forwards

Blake Milgate played his usual game Ethan Wright was classy playing a half back role. Worked well with Isaac Harrison who was strong in defence and crisp in the middle until he was sent to hospital to be stitched. Beau Ungonga was strong as was Thomson. Tully's Mcpherson fitted in well at this level. Jamie Hill was good, as was Mike Estevan. Camo Collins looked good in attack against tired defence. Big Sam outpointed Jayden Ross in defence. Jaydens reputation as a loose cannon will not assist him. Disappointed that Oliver Clark did not play. He has played 2nd div all year and to see him in this level would have good. Mike Robars went well at fullback.

Thkz stumpy spot on the players you mention would be a good start for penrith to look out may be start but jayden i think hes weight might just beat him robert jennings and big sonni still have to come back and oliver to i think the reason those boys didn't play yesterday was due to them playing harold matts this year the final 25 will be a strong side we have plenty of big centers to choose from to.

Chritian Chrichton in the centres, Manu from St marys Mitch the winger from windsor has speed to burn and can kick goals. Jack Nelson the tall centre in game one who was knocked out has a good shot imo. A bolter would be Adam Murphy five eight/half for emu tough and hard would be a good foil for Blake Milgate. Throw Jonty Tohara in if he gets his shoulder right he is devastating, he could cover the loss of Tyrell Fuimuona. Hey its all opinion and that's how I see it.
