Was our Matt’s game live streamed Or just the Ball game?

Jett Cleary was very animated with our trainer when he came off late on the Matt’s game, couldn’t tell whether he was injured but he seemed peeved of about something?

I would have thought the Harold Matt’s side would have won this game easily. What is your opinion on Jett Cleary?

He had a quiet game, not overly involved. First look for me, he played in a trial at Windsor I was at before Xmas but I had no idea who he was at the time. Really impossible to form any opinion on the evidence of today. You can see the Cleary in him if nothing else, the similarities with his older brother not so much in ability just the running style, mannerisms etc. it was a somewhat underwhelming performance overall, but they did come from behind after being down 8-0 so that is a positive I guess. The three standouts were our big boppers 8, 10 and 13 which included Joes son. Central Coast are normally an easy win but we made it tough going.

Just finish watching the entire game on YouTube. They certainly were poor. Very slow around the rucks, never really got going.Lucky to win.

Ehh, every 3-4 years we get a gun generation of juniors. In between that there are some great players here and there but not a heap of them in one team of them. Riley Smith's age group seems to be the next one after Burton's. In two years the next Harold Matts group will probably be the next one.

I told you I do not play nicely with others. 🤣🤣🤣

Neither do I.

There seems to be a 'run' of them at the moment.

For some reason when I try and read one of Di's articles it won't allow me it says ' oops we ran into some problems'.

The story of my life.

A dear friend of mine told me about a lady back in the 1960's who had lots of kids and attended the footy. She always carried an umbrella, if Penrith didn't win she used to hit her kids over the head with the umbrella'. Maybe the ghost of this person has appeared ? 😂😂😂

It was certainly a dust up. I didn’t bother leaving my seat in the stand to go and have a look but it was obvious from the noise being created something untoward was going on. Mostly female voices too for what it is worth.

There was a few unsavoury incidents during the game, resulting in players from both sides being binned for 10. Maybe the on field incidents had something to do with the off field drama.

Quite a few ins for the SG Ball side this week including John Sagaga, he should be interesting to watch. He didn’t play last week so I assumed he may have been being saved for Jersey Flegg. Will no doubt play Flegg this year but given he is named in Ball I assume they are going to give him a few early hit outs before stepping him up.

Mixed results today.

Matts were soundly beaten, not much to be enthused about, maybe the little dummy half Billy Thompson was our best. Jett Cleary very quiet. If you didn’t watch the live stream I wouldn’t recommend watching the replay of this game when it appears on you tube, nothing to like about the team or performacne.

Ball had a good win 36-16 against a very spirited Sharks side. Katoa the half, scored a try, set up another and kicked 6/6 including two from the sideline. I thought Mason Teague was good again, Harrison Hassett second row And the dummy half Billy Scott were also strong. John Sagaga played OK. A couple of the Sharks forwards were very strong.

From the two games thus far I assume Ball are going to be there or thereabouts while Matt’s look a very ordinary side.

As a side note former Panther James Roberts was at the games today.

I left with 5 to go. Reading the match report on the Panthers website they are reporting Katoa sustained a serious injury in the last minute so that is not good news.

My first real look at John Sagaga today. He was OK. You can see the potential. Very much in the Josh Papalli build not overly tall, huge legs, particularly the upper thighs. It will be interesting to see how he develops.

I streamed the game today.
The HM side IMO is poorly coached. They need to make changes to the side. One player is not up to standard in this age group.
Sg Ball on the other hand we’re good. Liam ISON fullback, lock Mason Teague, Katoa we’re all standouts. I think the young centre Jessie Maclean looks really good, and is still eligible to player Harold Matthews this year. Plus Luton Patna off the bench impressed. And the hooker was also brilliant.

Interesting to hear perspectives from live streaming as opposed to being at the ground.

Kind of hearing you on who may not be up to standard in Matt’s.

On my two viewings thus far Mason Teague and Katoa have been our best in Ball.

The young Sharks actually did provide decent opposition even if the score line doesn’t reflect that. There number 8, front rower was particularly impressive.

I think the sharks Harold Matt’s fullback is a star in the making.
Do you know what happened to Del Wigmore from the S G Ball squad? Is he still with the club?

Quite a lot of changes for both our sides to play the raiders this week.

Changes for Matts hardly surprising given they been average to say the least in both games thus far. Jett Cleary moved to 5/8.

Three big outs for SG Ball Including Katoa and Teague who’ve been our best thus far. Hope Katoas injury is not too serious.
