He has definitely come a long way this season. He probably lacks the speed to be a fullback long term but he is still so young. It's an interesting age because there are another 10 kids in the squad that are just as good as the ones that played on Friday night

The Under 14s kid was due to play fullback in the game but he is out for 8 weeks. Liam stepped in and scored a hat trick in a man of the match performance.

I have watched Braith play on live stream a couple of times this year and IMO he lacks pace and is too small.Hope he proves me wrong. However there is three other young halves in the SG Ball squad who IMO are outstanding prospects.

No shock omissions. They already know who 20 of the final 24 will be but they throw in more kids into the larger squad to keep those players on their toes until they cut the squad closer to Xmas

Looking through some posts from years ago anyone know what happened to solo alone he was going to be big for us at one time

Looking at the squads named for Saturday, very few names that I recognise.

Sione Katoas brother named half in ball has big wraps, but I haven’t really seen anything of him. Nathan’s brother likewise, he named at half in Matt’s.

Might pop down for a look if I’ve got nothing else doing.

The big interest will be to see the Flegg side when there trials commence.

Both Matt’s and Ball had wins. Matt’s only just 18-16. I think the wraps on Joe Galovaus boy looked justified was one of the standouts. Draw probably would have been a fair result four tries a piece with conversation seperating the sides.

Ball were leading 46-0 when I left with five to go, Sione Katoas brother Isaiya did some really good things to go with the wraps on him. The number 12 scored a hat trick, was listed as a back rower but appeared to be playing in the centres. First look at all these kids fir me, a few looked quite good although hard to gauge given the opposition were outclassed. I thought the 13 Mason Teague looked quite good.
