what you have to realise that competition is for players that are not rep players so to stand out in that competition in a team that didnt win a game isnt hard and if you can tell me who you drop out of the matts squad picked to put them in fair enuf but i dont think they could of picked a better team without picking 50 players and that aint gunna happen..

Yes i understand where you are coming from strecher but that comp is also to show selectors the players that are good enough to play rep football that have missed out previously. With Tai gone and Doran not bieng picked, if Ross has a strong season next year he could quite easily find himself in the SG Ball train on squad? I think Attard hasnt been picked previously because of his size. He is a great little player and has a huge heart. I think they will both have big seasons next year and force their way into rep teams. Open for suggestions

I hope some front rower stands up because the 3 Harold matthews front rowers from last year are gone and i've heard Vave is leaving as well....
Not good signs considering how much a team relies on their front rowers.

Geez..that's all i'm saying. For him to look after himself.

Maybe embellishing on the 30kg mark...maybe closer to 15-20kg and he'd be an absolute machine.

Imagine what pace and endurance he could have if he was conditioned in the future?...that's what i'm saying.

I've seen his raw power etc. I remember at the battle of the west he ripped the sh!t out of Parra...but also dropped the ball 2-3 times in the second half.

I'm gutted to be losing the kid...but I think we'll regret it when Parramatta's conditioning staff get a hold of him and make him Fui Fui Moi Moi 2.0.
Big Mick, i agree fully. Parramattas proffessional approach to nurturing and developing players will get tai leaner and meaner and they will teach him how to play the game, not just "run out all the best son", which is the penrith approach. Penrith have ruined this age, u17 2010, lost some of the best players and not selected others and selected some real spastics in their place.

{Dragonsman i agree with you. I was there that day and they were both standouts in a average team. I think Ross made the roosters harold matts last year and got injured? Attard was brilliant this year for St Clair how didnt he make the penirth development squad}

yeah flock, michael did make roosters harold matts last year but unfortunately broke his leg. hes been very unlucky with injury. he is a great player, hard worker, with lots of heart and doesnt give up. Isnt that wat u need in any footy team. also he is the most commited person u would want. Jake attard is also a great player with lots of heart. hes quick out of dummy half and has great skills who can also play halfback and five eighth. also a very smart player.

another great player in that st clair 16 1s team is matt portelli who runs hard and tackles hard and again is a hard worker with great attcking skills

From this years squad, who would you drop out and who would you include?

I thought he got injured as i saw him at a game earlier this year with a leg brace strapped around his leg. He also got injured before the finals? i saw him limping around peppertree then the following week played against brothers, he must be committed like you said. i am a big fan of his and attard. Portelli is great aswell, just with a bit of confidence he could be a great player aswell. Another thing i have noticed is that these three are that they are good trainers as i have seen them training when i went to pick up my 6 yr old son from training who plays for st clair. like ive said before i think they will have big seasons nex year and make rep teams.

you guys are saying if this player had this and this player had that they would be great thats never gauranteed why not take players that already have those qualities and develop them you are surely gunna get a head start...and i agree with a lot of what your saying but parra dont have a majic wand most teams are doing the same things at the end of the day its up to the player how far he wants to go no coach or club can decide how far a player goes...eg of this andrew johns trained 5hrs a day with the knights and 4hrs a day by himself and when they won the comp in 1997 not many of them liked the coach so my point is guys like tai dont want it bad enuf to do the extras to make it thats why he aint at penrith..

Hmm intresting, i understand what your saying. I watched Tai play St Clair earlier in the year and when he got pulled off he kept walkling to the sheds only thinking of himself. Maybe Parramatta will be a fresh start for him as they will push him and he cant just simply do whatever he wants like he did at penrith.

the front rowers are as follows, tyrone viiga, solo alone, jonathon taefu, kaiser matavao, kyle burchardt, darcy hogan, daniel arona that makes 7front rowers how could you fit tai in that....backrowers are sam hollis, vaipuna tiakilifi, corey carl, dilan curtis, micheal pio, matt thompson, micheal lekkas, elkan tanuvasa, inoke vunipola and possibly robert mate as a lock considering how big he is getting that gives you 10 backrowers for three spots and 2 hookers in blake south, reece regan now you tell me how you find a spot for tai......?

Which club have they been rumoured to have gone to?

From what i have heard the Roosters..
Seems like they are taking the chance to sign all our juniors.

Yeah Penrith have no shortage of Front rowers for SG Ball next year. But Parramtta with loss of Rodney Moefaaeo to Cronulla leave a front row spot vacant alongside Jarrod Azar, therefore signing Tai.

Also talking about Jake Attard and Michael Ross and so on. Ryan Wilson, Tekina Vailea and Jake Attard are definately the 3 best players in that team, dont worry bout the rest. Though Wilson is definately a centre, Tekina a backrower and Attard a hooker.

I think its a loss to SG Ball not having Jon Faiumu, who recieved Penrith 17s Player of the Year. But heard a rumour he is skipping Ball to train with Toyota Cup as his reasons allow him.

Footyboy I think he meant for the 2011 sg ball team, becos we clearly have enough front rowers for the 2010 season, but yeah with losing Tai and Antonelli I really think Penrith need to put some attention and effort into this years 17s squad especially in the forwards

Wait, they do have a shortage or they dont?
Wilson, Tekina and Jake are definatly the best players but there are also some underrated players in that team aswell. Jarrad Richards, Seth Buckley as well as Ross, Matt Portelli and Akuila Vinupola. Another player i think that should make rep teams is Jordan Horo. He really excelled this year at fullback. He can play anywhere in the backline. And also Risati Vincent and Zac Ryan. There are plenty of quality players in that team who could step up to rep football.
John is a big loss but i still believe Nick Mataia is a better player.
