This is the main thing, Tai is fully grown, he has been the same size for nearl 2 years. He is bigger and stronger than nearly anyone in the 20s. He can physically handle playing u/18s as we have seen through his supurb performances in MCS games this years against current u/20s and SG ball players.
He is not gonna get much bigger or stronger so why make him muck around in some u/17s squad which is unlikely to win a game this year.

As for Stevie Misevic Penrith decided they did not want him what so ever, he is now training in the Roosters SG ball squad with nathan and jason Antonelli.
jason antonelli and tevita vave have also played arrive alive and mcs and they wouldnt be the first players picked in ball

I heard about Jas and Stevie training for Roosters aswell.
I believe Penrith were goin to use Alan as more of a fullback, but yes it is true he is signed with the Bulldogs and ill think that they will put Ryan Casey (FB for St Pats) in there over R.Willie, he has skill, strong defence, height and never drops the football.
Even though Jas and Tevita have played AAC i also think Tai is still more capable of handling Ball.
And whoever said Edwyn Matoha-Here will be halfback is really wrong. Jake Maklouf will definately be halkback with Edwyn on the bench as i believe Zach Clay is to be looked at as first choice hooker with Wiki in the back row.

Personally i'd have edwyn as starting hooker.

so what you guys are saying is that tai will run through guys like tyrone and john taefu and vaipuna and kaiser im not so sure and besides you have to be able to tackle and have good lateral movement which he dosent posess so he will be a target and also dont put to much emphasis on school footy cause there are a lot of players playing ball that work and dont have a chance to have a crack at guys like tai and you are limited to who you play in school footy and both doms and pats werent that successful in the arrive alive this year and didnt play against the cream of the crop but they will in the ball comp and dont forget the queensland teams that are in the ball comp and all the queensland kids that get signed up by sydney clubs so again school footy is limited unless you play the best you cant measure talent...a couple of years ago pats were very successful in arrive alive and it translated to successful matts and ball teams for penrith not anymore...

i disagree with zach clay starting games if iwas coach i would bring him on after 15minutes could you imagine the damage he would cause against tired forwards and edwyn is a natural halfback maclouf isnt he has always been a hooker and has great defence which he stops doing when he has to much to worry about when he plays half but i can understand what you are saying with the stmarys coach being part of the staff at matts but you have to admit macloufs season finished poor playing half was outplayed by edwyn several times especially the game at the kingsway i watched that stmarys won 28-20..

What i was saying is that Tai is not more capable then the Sg Ball front rowers but more capable of handling Sg Ball over Jason Antonelli And Tevita Vave. In any circumstance i would pick Kaisa, JT, Tyrone and VTK over Tai.
Also someone mentioned playing Jas and Tevita for SG Ball cause they had played Arive Alive, all i was saying that Tai could of played Arrive Alive and handled easier then thes two.
Also i can see Zach Clay as an impact player so maybe thats a good choice but in any case i would always have Jake Maklouf halfback and Edwyn hooker or 5/8 hes not a HB.
Also i watched this Ethan Chatto this year, he steps up against the bad teams and is hiding in the hard games.

And my point footyboy is that he isnt better than the props we have and from what ive seen the penrith props are not the best in the comp so what hope does he have he is an outstanding talent but this years ball side has more talent they proved it when they played matts and they proved it this year winning three games one against penrith and losing four games by 8 or less points ....and the one thing different is that these guys are dedicated by all reports...

Matraville Sports High School's Kyle Fraser is looking at a bright future with his move to the Penrith Panther in 2010.
Kyle will be a excting addition the the Panther Toyota Cup team next year after stella couple seasons with his school Matraville Sports High School and the Parramatta Eels Elite player programs.

Is Paul Maguire under contract with Penrith? And if so would he be the youngest player that Penrith has ever signed?
