Harold Matthews and SG Ball Discussion Thread

Atkins and his asst coaches to controll s.g ball, cartwright, jakiel, walker in the Penrith squad, all players who went to greener pastures ( roosters etc not to return) Jennings and hetriks(who got 1 of the two major sg bal awards at the academy) to turn out for the eels in sg ball and beyond. Clements from brothers (u17 developement coach) to coach harold matts 2011 and h.matts 2011 is a much weaker age than the 2010 talent available, they will struggle.

I agree that atkins should be rewarded for his efforts this year but there are a lot of coaches in front of Adrian Clements for the Matts job eg;Brad Liggins will still be in the mix his assistant Grant (gash)Mitchell has been an assistant for three years that i can count and deserves a chance then you have academy matts coach Lee Addison very astute coach and also Ron Harrison who has been assistant for a couple years as well but it wouldnt surprise me if he jumped over these guys considering Atkins jumped over them for this years matts but i guess if your ex grade player and school teacher you have secret coaching powers...and a novice could of coached this years matts...

Yeah it seems surprising about heterick and jennings but i will believe when i see it cartwright will never leave his dad seems pretty passionate about the district especially the junior league..

I think you will find that there will be a few more under age players in the initial squad. As the 15s age group now is still a bit under developed.
From St Marys i think you will see Shi and Tyrell Fuimaono, also Jamie Hill and even Fuimanu Enese in the squad.
St Clair offers big Sam Kheirallah and Amos Viiga who could be used as an outside back, Minchinbury has the likes of Fotu and Robert Jennings who is terrorising teams lately out wide. And from other teams it is likely Jonty Tohara and Cowen Epere from St Pats, as well as Mikey from Windsor and massive Billy Tamasone who is a head taller then Fotu and is currently playing for Doonside U16s.

they will have a good base group with several having played this year ,3 in panthers side ,jaye fumano jason lodge and aiden glanvile also 3 from academy cant remember there names butdont rite them of to soon

Ummm... Zac clay was is year young this year and in my oppinion is the most promising player to come through in a long time...

so was jason lodge jay fumano and aiden glanville and i think they all were betterthan him on the day he is not thay good

Things are looking good for next seasons S.G Ball,Watched St Marys vs Windsor 2day,real good quality game,George Jennings is looking very dangerous when he has his hands on the ball..I think Dylan Ariu deserves 2 be in the mix for Penrith,his served his time at Academy IMO and would go good in the halves ,maybe even hooker?

Does Sam Hollis remind anyone of Trent Waterhouse ?
He is like a younger clone!Very impressive,he should be in the mix for a run in the 20s in the coming weeks IMO.
Also I gave Ronny Palumbo a wrap earlier in the year,him and Panthers 20s back Alan Eisenhuth had a good battle in centres 2day..Dont know why Jonesy hasn't snapped him up yet??
