Harold Matthews Qualifying Final Livestream + Game Highlights

Getting in just a little bit earlier to build some hype for the game this week. Our boys are undefeated in the Harold Matthews this year and now take on the Tigers in an elimination final for a spot in the Grand Final.

While their eye-catching attack dominates my highlight videos (and justfiably so!) it is their steelclad defence that has surprised onlookers this year. Defending with resolution and aggression that you would only really expect in the senior grades, they average somewhere around just 8pts conceded per game. Jesse Cronin, Josh Curran and Tui Afualo form three of the pillars here, laying on stinging shots with terrifying consistency.

Hopefully I haven't put the mockers on them as they have been a marvel to watch this year!

Kickoff is at 10:30am tomorrow out at St Marys.

Sone fiery scenes in the opening moments, Parra had an early opportunity to crack the Tigers after consecutive penalties but Balmain stood strong and open the scoring with a penalty goal.

Fantastic try to Ethan Parry after he leaped up and plucked a Patterson bomb out of the air. Sill had plenty to do and beat several defenders to the line.

Fiery game! Parra have looked the better team for sure and the score line reflects that. Still plenty of room for improvement based on their earlier efforts this year but regardless we will settle for a solid second half effort if it gets us home.
