The Colonel said:No the mistake was realised and dropping him fixed it.....
The Colonel said:The tragedy will be if he is allowed to play Test cricket again...... He may get back into the OD side but he can't even make Pura Cup.....
Thierry Henry said:Patel has struggled, going at 6 an over, but that's because he has played the role of a specialist death bowler. He was actually turning it square at times last night/this morning.

Twizzle said:which is why NSW would never sign him, he is crap
aussies1st said:NSW are packed with spinners that all can bat very well too. SA have Cullen. Best bet go to Tassie, at least over there he would get a starting spot.

Iafeta said:I watched him in the 20/20 international v SA. I was highly impressed. Quick at times straight at the base of off, then a slow change of pace tempting a batsman into a cover drive only for it to turn square and smash into the stumps.
Don't know if that was a once off spell or not, but if thats typical Patel bowling he'll be a useful ODI bowler.
