Have we room for another troubled soul ?

Seu Seu just got the lemon and sars from Newcastle.

I liked what I saw of him last year, he is a hooker, he is young and he obviously enjoys a good night out on the turps - all admirable qualities for a career at Canberra.

Even half cut he has to be an improvement on Withers:lol:

no.

not sure why everyone trashes withers so much.
if cuts out the silly mistakes he is a very good player.

anyone that thinks hinchcliff is better is simply crazy

Seu Seu is a good player, suprised Newcastle didnt keep him considering Buderus is going at the end of the year.

However I dont think we have enough room to take him on

Yeah i don't understand it either. He is no cam smith but withers does more good things than bad things. Plus he is one of the few players in our team that can actually tackle.

You answered your own question

Due to the plethora of silly mistakes he is NOT a very good player just a very ordinary and frustrating one.

He is a very good tackler and defensively near our best

It is his constant ball drops when we are one pass away from scoring, and his frequent butting in to the halves with his non existent kicking game that somewhat taints him with a lot of fans.

Depends on what happens with this Stuart Flanagan situation.

As an aside I don't get the Hinchcliffe love though. Solid player but nothing more IMO - certainly has his own handling issues.

In his situation it's possible (but unlikely) a deal has been done but they've refrained from making an announcement until later in the season.

The tigers have made one or 2 big buys for 09 so I'd assume they would have some cap issues.

I guess we'll have some idea if the club chases that Henjak clown or not.

do you think canberra have a better player for the position?

No and I don't think the club does either given all the Flanagan talk 18 months out from the 2009 season.

Answer = Yes.

The first thing I thought when I herd the Seu Seu story was; he's got Canberra written all over him. I say sign him up just for 08 and worry about Flanagan for 09. If we miss out on Flanagan, we'll still have a chance to resign Seu Seu or the go down the dirty road to Henjak.

Withers shows glimpses of a decent hooker but then spends most of his time being the spitting image of a sh*t hooker. Too many unforced errors, too many brain explosions and he's had too many chances to come good. Hinchcliffe is pedestrian. He doesn't add value to the team - his play is mundane. What I like about Seu Seu is he is explosive and creative. He isn't the solution to our problems at hooker, but he'll do for now. Plus it's a bout time we had a coconut back in lime green.

Signing Seu Seu would be f**king dumb dumb dumb. We have to hookers this year already, plus Herbert and Tongue who can fill in. The ten man interchange means most clubs will only have one dummy half in first grade hence we would be signing Seu Seu as a third string hooker in a year when we are trying to re-sign a whole heaps of pivotal blokes to the team.

Tongue is not a hooker. I wish we could eliminate that possibility from everyones head so he was viewed as a backrower/lock exclusively.

I dont see any value in signing Seu Seu, of what I saw of him last year he was OK without being exceptional. We are more likely to get value out of Withers I think as he does have a good game from time to time.
