In your adult life, have you ever been in a physical altercation?

I have on two occassions.

First time, I got chased and hit by a gang of teenagers.

Second time, I got hit on the nose while I wasn't looking while reffing a pool game.

So, Im 0-2.

I fought on the beaches of Normandy...

Other than that, probably just few punches here and there back in my school days...

I got king-hit by a drunk guy many years ago who mistook me for my brother.

I found out who he was and told my brother who still won't tell me what he did to him.

But I shat in his letterbox once a week for the next month.

I've only ever been in one fight and I won it, but it was in high school and against a guy who was considered to be the biggest nerd in the school. My sister beat him in a fight a few days later.

Twice.

First time i caught someone spiking my friends drink.

Second was when i had to grab my friends boyfriends arm to stop him hitting her a second time, so he decided to go at me.

Only in footy, (only because we had a dirty game and our front rowers wanted to deal to a grubby bast*** hooker. I started it and our forwards belted them).

After I started it, I sat back and watched, my job done.

Just one really proper one.

Twenty mates went up to a small beachside community out of wellington called castlepoint for a stag do. That night we were down on the beach and ran into these locals - about 30 who were having a 21st.

Needless to say that didnt like townies and followed us back to the place we had rented.

When we go to the driveway one mate drew a line in the gravel and said we werent going any further back than that in fear that they would attack the cars, and announced that if they crossed the line all hell would break loose.

One of them went across the line after the guy whose stag do it was. Another mate floored him, then both groups got stuck into each other.

We had a couple of units amongst our ranks who really dealt to couple of them. It was carnage, the ground was littered with a number of them who had been on the receiving end of some mighty hits. Some poor smuck got his nose split open, 3 others had to be helped back to their 21st.

Was certainly nothing to be proud of but we got backed into a corner and had given them plenty of opportunities to leave us alone.

Having spent 20 years as a publican and playing footy for 29 years, yeah, I've had quite a few. You'd think at my age I'd give it away, but I still think I'm 25 and I don't take kindly to fools.

I spent 5 years as a bar manager when I left scool and had to break a heap up, I got hit once in the jaw by this big bastard and it f**king hurt.

But I still managed to grab the pair, throw them outside. Then I told them to sort their sh*t out, get over their pissy bitching and come back inside only if they could promise never to do this sh*t again.

2 hours passed after much fighting, then it was quiet and they came back in like good mates and continued to get drunk and get on well all night.

Dopey drunk men.

As for myself, was guarding the door at a party once and a hero decided to try and crash it. Didn't get past me though. Threw a punch, I ducked, his fist hit the brick wall behind me though (as you can imagine he screamed his lungs off) so I swept him to the ground, locked his arms around until the coppers came at which point they took him down to the station and questioned him for attempted trespassing. Teens

Ah, footy fights...Nothing like belting cheeky little hookers after they've headhunted your star halfback.

As for fight fights, yeah - saw some bloke slapping his missus about at a club once. Didn't sit too kindly with me, got involved and promptly got my arse kicked. He was a pretty big guy. And having 3 mates of his jump in probably didn't help.
