You know what bartman last year some bloke called Triple M and stated that Hayne was returning in 2018. He was very adamant. I like everyone else called bullshit. He had just signed a two year deal and it wasn't possible. Now we have all found out that he has a clause in his contract for year 2 and the option in his favour runs out very soon.

Tick, tick, tick.

Surely we wouldn't touch the guy now... he's injured, in poor form, and apparently like a cancer to any club he gets involved with.

I will think less of BA if this is true. For next season we need a half to partner Norman/hooker to replace Kaysa/De Gois - not a washed up lazy fullback pretending that he can do more.

I'd be incredibly disappointed if we signed Hayne.

When we offered him a deal last year, according to a recent article we only wanted him to play 6.

He's good at 6, but his running game is wasted. However he doesn't have the workrate for fullback. In the halves he can certainly tackle though, and he kicks much better than Gutherson. I'd be concerned about his impact on the team.

Very good points, Pou. His passing from left to right is as good as Mitchell Pearce's (who I rate has the best in the business).

His days at fullback are just about over and with the Titans having 3 halves in their squad there is no long term place for him there. I reckon he knows this and will realise that he is a 6 or nothing if he opts to stay in the NRL.

He is toxic. Sadly, his footballing ability is a secondary concern for any prospective recruiter.

I don't necessarily believe all that. He certainly seems to have plenty of mates from his Eels days...and BA has never given the impression that Hayne was a problem off the field.

What I do believe is that he never really wanted to go to the Titans, and that he's behaved in a manner that makes that obvious. I wouldn't be offering him elite money, but if he was willing to have a crack back here at Corey Norman money or a little under, then I'm all for it.

If we could get him for under $700k he could be fairly low risk. But still a risk.

Arthur's would at least know what he gets with Hayne. If he's happy to have him back I won't complain. Unless the merkin gets injured all the time.

If f**king Josh Reynolds wants $800K then Hayne should ask for $1.8 million.

The money is surely an impediment to him returning, particularly immediately. He's on a stack up there. Or does Arthur rate him more highly than eels fans?

Or does Hayne realise he f**ked up and, having got a chunk of his millions already for the past 8 months or whatever, not care so much about what he actually earns at Parra?

I'm only guessing FTR, because he's clearly not happy at the Titans.
