It sounds like they have... there's very little incentive to "win" the way modern salary and contracts are drawn up. The average player just needs to make sure they can play for a contract offer/extension when the time comes around.

Hayne would know all about losing though... his win percentage is pretty low, despite (or even because of?) his renowned slackness at training.

These guys are professional athletes. Money decides which club they play for but no chance does it determine how well they play. The vast majority of them couldn't sleep at night if they weren't giving 100%
