If rumors commence that he is coming to us to replace Semi on the wing that will just about do me.

I asked the question the other day. How much is Jarryd Hayne worth to the Titans for him to play elsewhere next season? $600k??

Surely most clubs could come up with $400k under the cap and $200k TPA for The Plane. I dare.say we'd be in the running at that price.

I think it's a real shame the way Hayne's career is going. Honestly, I really do. We've seen talented players in the past not fulfill their potential, eg Owen Craigie and the like, but Hayne isn't just a little bit talented. We're not talking about a guy who who could break games wide open once in a while. We're talking about a bloke who, if he had the mental toughness and dedication of a Cronk or Smith, would be the greatest player on the planet and one of the best of all time.

It's an insult to guys who bust their gut just to play a handful of NRL games that Jarryd can be so apathetic. What a waste.

I actually don't think any clubs will go near him. It's obvious that at both clubs he has played at that he is at best, too much of a distraction and at worst, a completely negative influence.

Is there a coach in the NRL that could get the best out of him? And would they want the hassle anyway?

People probably overestimate how much lack of drive or determination can be 'fixed' though. Like it's a shame that Jarryd Hayne can't get motivated but not a shame that James Maloney isn't bigger. If he was Hayne's size he might be the greatest player of all time.

I think RL people are also frustrated that he has shown that the drive and determination are in him. You can't do what he did in the NFL without damn hard work. He just chooses to not apply it when playing league. Why? I don't know.

Everyone can put in a massive effort for a period of time. Eventually fatigue sets in. For some people that threshold is hours, days or weeks. For the typical 'genuine NRL player' that massive effort might be ten or eleven months.

I am obviously abstracting since people generally rest at least once a day. But there is clearly a period of time longer than 24 hours where almost everyone eventually succumbs to fatigue and stops operating at peak efficiency. The daily grind gets to people. It obviously gets to Hayne quite quickly.

Fatigue hasn't affected your ability to post shit yet. How do you do it? Is it in your genes or did you have to work harder at it than the naturally talented? Whichever, I'm impressed.
