I think if The Plane was a middle forward or a 9 then we should be all over him. But the fact that he plays in a position where we already have two players that we're trying to put into the one position, then The Plane would really be a waste of salary cap space at any realistic reduced price.

Lol @ Hayne, fluffed his big chance to silence his critics and get the Titans fans on his side today.

And to think, some people are arguing that BA should sign this overvalued turd?

Wait... wait.... and there it was. With 16 minutes to go, Hayne took the ball, wound up for a long kick down the park and sprayed it off the side of the boot. It wobbled over the sideline on the full and he was greeted with one of the biggest cheers of the day.

That it seemed to be both sets of supporters giving him some stick should probably be of some concern for the Titans board and the new coach, who they hope will be in place by the pre-season start in November.

Hayne looked totally disengaged at stages. When the Dogs were running out of their 20 on early tackles, he would have already retreated 60m behind his defensive line. Fullbacks like Billy Slater tend to hang around and pester their defenders into action before reversing for the kick return.

He did have some decent enough moments, making a few good tackles that stopped some promising Bulldogs raids. But this was a match where he was supposed to be bursting with energy and ambition to hush the critics. It simply didn't happen.

He was terrible today. I hope we are not stupid enough to entertain the idea of bringing him back. I don't even think he would work as a centre with us, however I trust BA and his judgement.
He's better suited to wing than centre. And on the wing you can be as lazy as you like. Beside a carry or two on each exit set you just sit out wide waiting for the ball. You can rack up a dozen carries without even trying.

If his ego would allow it, he would replace Semi perfectly.
Any spare money should be used to entice Semi to return in May 2018 when the French Rugby season ends.

Other wingers at the club can fill the void until that happens. Hayne is spent and is mentally not for League. Not that I can see anyway.

I don't think Hayne has lost his ability, I say he has lost the desire and is unhappy at the titans!!

I reckon seeing us being in a position to win the comp (not saying we will), is f**ken killing him big time!! He loves the eels deep down!! And it's playing with his mind.

I reckon if he came home, he would be a totally different player. Everyone knows your work performance is shit if you are unhappy in your work environment!!

Don't forget he probably had his best season under BA (2014 he was consistent each week rather then a 9 week run in 2009) and he wasn't our focal point in attack in 2014, he played a back up role. So he knows how BA would play him if he returned.

lol at that article.
Written to suck in the haters, and it appears to have succeeded in spades.
What about the appalling performances from the other 16 Titans players representing their club?
Joshuatheel nailed it.

I've always argued wing was his best position... now it's bench if he's lucky.

Sounds like he went OK.

At the end of the day it's the same thing. No desire, no happiness in what you do = loss of ability.
I reckon seeing us being in a position to win the comp (not saying we will), is f**ken killing him big time!! He loves the eels deep down!! And it's playing with his mind.
I think the thing playing on his mind is that he'd probably f**k it up if he was playing for us, just like he f**ked it up in the final two games of 2014, and he f**ked it up for the Titans at the end of last season, like he f**ked it up for NSW this series, and he's f**ked it up for thr Titans all year long!
I reckon if he came home, he would be a totally different player. Everyone knows your work performance is shit if you are unhappy in your work environment!!
I reckon he'd be the same as when he left at the end of 2014 - still over rugby league, only doing it for the paycheck, and this time not having any more clandestine "dreams" to ignite his desire for recognition and accolades i.e. as shift work performance as he's shown with Titans.
So he knows how BA would play him if he returned.
On form, BA would play him in Wenty.
