I fear he will come to Parra and this will be a disaster. For once, we're building the club through some good low publicity, high workrate players and along comes Hayne. He may have some good footy in him but he's certainly selfish. He'll create problems in the playing group. On the plus side, he'll bring a lot of fringe supporters back.

That's my 2cents but I trust Arthur's judgement.

The Crow isn't fussed.

But Cronin - who played 216 games for the Eels over 10 seasons - could not understand why Parramatta would want Hayne back if the release was secured.

"How long would he be coming for? He changes from one year to the next," Cronin told AAP.

"I can't see the benefit for Parramatta.

"I can't see why they would bring him back when one year later he is going somewhere else and playing rugby union or something.

"Where is the benefit?"

So Hayden would prefer Hayne to be happy with his family in Sydney rather than training him on the Gold Coast with the titans?

Or am I just reading what I want to read?

No, you got it - pretty sure Knowles himself was quoted as saying he'd support Jarryd doing what's best for him and his family.

from the article i posted here http://forums.leagueunlimited.com/posts/12551405/

Knowles — who has joined the Titans on a $300,000 deal — says Hayne has confided in him about his personal family dilemma.

The highly-rated Knowles played a key role in the fitness regimen at Parramatta that saw Hayne win the 2009 Dally M Medal and was keen to reunite with him at the Titans, but this could now change.

Knowles would love to work alongside Hayne, but says he fully respects if he puts family before football.

“I have spoken to Jarryd about his family issue and his baby and he has been rattled about it,” Knowles said.

“I do know that he has some issues with his baby. I’m not aware if he is going to move clubs, but I do know there have been a few issues.

“She (his partner) moved home with the baby. It will be a shame if I go up there and he isn’t there, but he has got to do what is right.

“Hopefully for the Titans he is still there, but if he needs to sort things out with his baby and I know what I’d be advising and you’ve got to do what is best with that.”

Time to buy into this. I believe it would be a mistake for him to come back to Parra. We have dealt with many issues over the last few years and we seem to be now heading in the right direction. No major dramas inside the club, more astute decisions made surrounding the roster as a whole resulting in a much welcomed finals appearance this year that was long overdue. I don't buy for one minute that Hayne's heart is at Parra, that was evident the moment he went off to persue his dream. What has followed since he made that decision doesn't fit with where the Parra of today is heading IMO. We aren't the only club in Sydney. There are several options available, even a struggling Newcastle just up the road. I would rather see BA continue with what we have now and foster future upcoming talent combined with wise current NRL signings as they become available.

If we have space in the cap, one year at a reasonable price seems very low risk, and potentially massive payoff.

I don't agree, we are doing fine without him. The risk I see is the dramas that surrounded the Titans in such a short time have a decent chance of finding their way back to Parra. I've had enough of the Ringling Bros scenario that has surround our club. The travelling circus went on the road. Stay on the road.

I wouldn't worry about it mate. Things have changed. Now BA is all like...
