From what I have seen the last 2 years - I think his ball skills are more valuable to us than his running game. He isn't that 09 fullback anymore.

His ball skills are effective because of his running game. Because he is such a threat when he runs, teams need to get bodies on him and then he can use his ball skills to take advantage of overlaps. You take away the running threat (due to fatigue from 40 odd tackles) and defences will just hang off him and his ball skills will look pretty average.

OK - so where do you play him?
I'd just create a position for him. The position names don't mean that much. I want him with ball in hand a lot - but defending not that much. Call him rover.

If Norman stays then fullback with Gutho centre (Guth has excellent one on one defence)
If Norman goes then he has to play 5/8

Like you said he needs to get his hands on the ball often. he can do that from full back or at 6. I wouldn't complain if he was centre but I want him involved more

I haven't heard that possibility mentioned.
The only team that could fit him in under the cap would be the Roosters.
Where have you been the last 24 hours. The possibility of a Norman - Hayne swap is all that has been talked about on here.

I think I could live with a Norman and Hayne trade.
Heck even throwing Edwards into the deal is fine. Lets get it done.

The only thing Hayne hasn't done is win a Pship. He is hungry for that and he doesn't do drugs.

Remember that pic that hayne posted on social media when he was in Byron of the flash pad he was staying at and there was a nice white powder on the bench? Now it was probably a pile of sugar they just poured onto the bench but it was quickly taken down
