Yeah I kinda recall hearing something of that nature. Makes a big difference having the whole lot on their cap.

If Hayne wants out, they should be well able to replace him for well under that ( availability of a replacement assumed there ) so whatever the difference between the salary of Hayne and whoever replaces is isn't really costing the Titans anything if they pay it out to get out the contract.

Say 400k or thereabouts would still leave ample coin for a signing or two.

Agreed. Even forking out $500-$600k to move him on this year frees up $600-$700k cap space. That would be a fairly enticing proposition.
