It's more than that. It's the continual character assassination of a person that more than likely, almost everyone on here has never met. Certainly, no one knows him closely enough to make these judgements of personality. All they know is what the various mediums of the media tell us all. That's a reliable source, eh?

I'll leave decisions like this and are happy to trust those people at our club that are paid to make these decisions. BA has already proven he is no fool. If Hayne signs for us, it won't be a decision that BA took lightly, and he'll only sign Hayne if he himself believes it is of no benefit to anyone but the club and the team. It will be up to Hayne to fit into that philosophy.

Until then, I won't be making any outrageous predictions that he will split the team, be lazy at training, be ripping off the Titans by delaying his departure (if indeed he does leave), only engage himself in matches when he feels like it, he's a mercenary etc........

My point is that I don't think any of us in here are in any position to judge a person without having met them and furthermore, know what really happens behind the scenes in all facets in their life.

It did piss me off a bit.

I thought it was slightly hypocritical. He doesn't know the people who have been critical of Jarryd and the rationale behind their criticisms yet is willing to bag them just like they've bagged Hayne.

I have been critical of Hayne. To suggest that I was only doing so because I was sucked in by the media and cant think for myself is a bit ridiculous to be honest.

I am happy to stand by my previous comments on Hayne. In my opinion he is a proven shit leader with a shit attitude. Anyone who says otherwise is also forming a position without knowing him.

That said I have also made it clear that if BA signs him I will support him 100%.

Whilst Hayne may be 'a' common denominator in this story, you have failed to take into account the other common denominator - sensational stories sell newspapers/clicks.

Don't for a minute forget that the media have a clear understanding that the Parramatta Eels are a team that approx. 5% of the total NSW and QLD population consider their team which means articles/stories relating to the Eels have a far greater reach than most other RL teams. Secondly, Hayne would be perhaps one of the most instantly recognised names in Australian sport, especially over the last 4 years and especially in the Rugby League states. Thirdly, Parramatta supporters are passionate to say the least however in a lot of cases that passion is combined with frustration at having no success in 30+ years and a target demographic that believes what they read and hear from mainstream media.

Put these together and there is no doubt in my mind there is an agenda from the media to find/make up/embellish sensationalised stories related to Jarryd Hayne.
