If there is even the slightest bit of truth to hayne affecting our teams attitude then the rest of the team are mentally piss weak .... he was a big influence before cos he was the main man - now he is just the late blow in, no one should be heavily influenced by him
I think the players at our club have, for a long time been mentally piss weak going back to Brian Smith coming in. All of our successful seasons but finals chokes are proof of that and it has just continued and eventually spiralled out of control.
Hayne coming in and the media attention on us and him is just a good excuse to fold like we have done as a club continuously for 2 decades!
Like i have said before, any player who wouldn't run through a brick wall for BA should be out on the street. The shit he put up with and the way he protected those players in 2016 (and now this year) demonstrates mental toughness that our players just don't have and clearly hasn't rubbed off.
I know the season isn't over and i am not stupid enough to think that we can't still make the 8 but i would not be surprised in the slightest that players would use Hayne coming in as an excuse not to put in.
He may also not be putting in as much as some would like but if these guys were in the real world and in real jobs they would see that this is not unique to them and you just need to get on with it........the difference is that these guys are playing for fans who pay their hard earned money.............in a normal job you are generally working your ass off to pay for someones yachts............
