Not happy about this one bit.

I think the best thing we can hope for is that he doesn't do any lasting damage to the squad while he's here.

The people who think he's going to have a DallyM season are delusional.

If we got him for half a million (or thereabouts) we don’t need him to have a Dally M season to get value out of him.

Even at he’s worst his good enough for our top 17. The key is not overpaying.
Not overpaying and giving him a very defined role.

He needs to know that he isn't expected to lead the team like he did last time. I'm sure BA will drill it into him.

Not sold on this at all but as he will be playing in the blue and gold I will support the decision despite any reservations I have. IF he turns up and plays to what he is capable of this is a big gain for the club. I hope that BA has told him what is expected of him and he listens to that. I also hope we aren’t losing players like Gutherson, French or Moeroa as has been suggested because of it.

Also with Hayne he can play anywhere in the backline from 1 to 6. Yeah it might not be at the elite level but definitely up to NRL level.

So we are also getting a player which adds depth to several positions for a pretty reasonable price it appears.

Gives BA plenty of options. Look at last year we had to use Smith at fullback or Mr T in the halves.

And defensively - I have never seen any player stop some of the tries he has stopped in the past.
