Surely hayne got paid part of his salary for november/december by the titans ... which i am guessing will be something like $100k-200k - and that will be on their cap

Then the 500k from us ... so he is on salary caps for at least 600k this year ... exactly what you think his market value is Kent ... you dumb f**k

He has a point we are rorting the cap. Kent is a genius.

The only way around all the bullshit is publically declaring a players salary like in the NFL. Then we can all see. If the player doesnt like it he can quit the game.
A lot argue know one else has to make slaary public but hey everyone knows roughly what everyone else earns. It isnt this big secret.

That still would not police dodgy payment.

Dear Paul,

What personal accomplishments have you achieved that allow you to be such a smug asshole?

So he is actually suggesting we are cheating again and paying him some other amount ontop of the 500k

See this is what all Para fans are mainly upset about.

His backtracking article where he then said ....

It is now impossible to have an honest conversation around Hayne without being charged with driving an agenda or carrying a personal dislike or some other trumped accusation.

.. just proves that he is full of shit and certainly does have an agenda against us.

Doesn’t read like it. He is still using the name of Hayne to make his point, he could of used dozens of other examples of players in similar situations.

He knows Hayne is poison in the public’s eye atm and he has used him to help make a story out of nothing.

On the NRL 360 show, he made a point of saying that he was not specifically singling Hayne out. In fact he thereafter referred to him as 'player X'. I'm not defending Kent against people who like to hate people they don't even know; I'm simply saying that he was talking about the inconsistency of the NRL in apparently turning a blind eye in some circumstances and not in others. He mentioned how the NRL notionally valued Israel Folou out of Parramatta's reach, thereby losing him to Rugby Union (but I guess that doesn't fit the narrative of Kent hating Parramatta - whatever that means). The reason he spoke about Hayne in the first place, is fairly obvious I would have thought. Hayne has been a recognised superstar and he is a current state of origin player. But most importantly, he has just walked out on a million dollar per year contract to sign for $500K. It's something that doesn't happen every day. And yet the NRL have not thought to even look into it. And, as Kent pointed out, at a club that was recently caught rorting the salary cap. If it happened at the Broncos or Easts, or Melbourne, we'd all be up in arms. I agree with Paul Kent. The NRL should have at least spoken to Hayne and the Parramatta club to make sure everything was legit - and to make sure any TPA's were 'at arms length'.

How do we know they (NRL) didn't?

How do you know this didn't happen? I am confident it would have after what happened to us last year.
Im also of the opinion that the appropriate discussions were had. Obviously PK wasnt invited to those meetings. How dare they.
I hope Bernie tears him a new one. He has no right to insinuate our club is acting inappropriately. Slanderous Slug.
