We had a good halfback then who actually had some vision and knew how to create. Now we just have a hack. No wonder why the backs arn't seiing much ball.

I thought it was all about Leeeeeg Driiiiive!!!!!

but you're right Jayey boy, our powerful forward pack and very creative and fast outside backs would be better off with Tim there...yearh??? :sarcasm:

FMD all this talk about the half again. Hopefully one of the reggies 7's (Mortimer I hope) will be ready to step up next year and KK will play 6, Mateo lock and Finchy will sub for Matty. In the meantime we just have to deal that Tim aint around any more and Finchy will have to do.

Still would probably prefer Reddy on the Wing, not because he is a bad centre but because I think he is a finisher outwide (and a very good one at that) just he isn't good at feeding his outside man.

Hayne
Reddy
Tautai/Williams
Inu
Williams/Tautai

Hayne was just as bad in the centres

you people really need to get a new argument other then Hayne can't play on the wing

he didn't have any problems playing wing and getting involved in the game in 2006 or even the start of 2007 before Burt got injured.

but now all of the sudden Hayne can't play on the wing or in the centres for that matter

pathetic really Ron but then I didn't expect much from you so I can't say I'm surprised

Well you see this is the problem with dickheads like you;-), he was blooded as a winger however proved he was more then just that when he played fullback last year. So f**king what if he played wing in 2006, Sterlo played f**king fullback in 1980, so should've he played there?

His form at centre this year has been better then his wing form, remember the Newy game? and even the Manly game he was our only weapon, what has Burty done? has he done anything in a decade?

And why should Inu play Fullback? he hasn't shown as much to indicate he would be as good as Hayne at the position, seen both them play at FB Hayne is the clear winner.

He is our best attacking player, our only SOO rep, but then again, you dont have the slightest clue about anything and would nominate players like Joe Bartolo and Greg Drake as inspirations:lol:

If Burt is dropped, and he must be very very close, then Reddy should be given first crack at 1.

It would stengthen our goal line defense, our kick returns, our in goal defense, and almost certainly improve our defense on the right hand side.

It would free Hayne to play centre or wing, and combine with Inu on one side, preferably by interchanging.

Ron, do you seriously think Hayne's SoO selection was based on form and not reputation?

Then why wasn't Hindmarsh picked?

Tbh Haynes form has been very inconsistent this year, but i'm getting pissed off when people moan about him being terribly bad when he hasn't been that bad at centre, his games against Newy and Manly i thought he was our best, he has been suspended and then had SOO duties which wouldn't have helped. He has had some defensive shockers at centre eg Gasnier and Hodges, however both those players are class acts and the best in the business.

Fullback is his calling card, we all know he'll end up there, why wait?

i am concerned about williams on the wing, he showed earlier in the year his turn and chase is suspect (might of been against manly in rd 6). He offers alot in offense however and like to see him there, the centre (inu right) would just need to be aware to turn and chase.

Just thinking about it did they (inu & williams) swap in defense last game they played??

Tautai has similar problems, i say bring back Grothe but has he rectified his defense?

I'd rather have Williams or Tautai in the centres with blokes like Reddy or Inu outside them, I just think they're better off finishing off plays and can get to the ball quicker then the others.

The fact someone is a state of origin rep in one position (on reputation not form) means they should get the chance to play a different position, and will magically show how wonderful they are meant to be, just because they've been freed from playing that dreadful wing position, where they can't possibily show their talent .

By that logic then if someone as talented like Hayne is playing like poo on the wing, then no-one else in the club has any hope of playing better there either. But it hasn't stopped guys like Williams having good games when they've been called up onto the wing... I don't get it?

Hayne needs to get involved in the play, and show the spark that people think he can provide from the number one. He bludged during the Penrith game, fair dinkum bludged rather than got involved in the second half. And the one time Burt let him take a kick return from closer to the centre of the field, Hayne muffed it big time and fumbled the ball.

Has shown nothing other than a mouthy interview with the media as to why he shouldn't be on the wing. I will be very disappointed in Hagan if he bows to the public musings of a prima donna and makes the shift to keep big bucks no guts Hayne happy... ;-)

he actually made a pretty strong arguement

hayne is a class footballer...your personal view of his personality or eyebrow style shouldnt cloud your judgement of a players ability.

1978 actually - semi-final against Manly.

John Harvey creamed him - illegally I might add.
The now infamous "Greg Hartley - 7 tackle match".

Suity

first grade debut...and i'm pretty certain it was he's only match as a fullback.
