And now he gets that chance - there's no bigger game in our season except this one... I hope he can pull it off, I really do.

And let's hope for the team's sake that Hayne lives up to all this hype at fullback, and that we don't need to see excuses trotted out for him if he doesn't perform in that position too.

No you dont, you hope he has a shocker:lol:

Just remember, 18 weeks, he has plenty of time to show his worth:cool:

No I don't. I've seen him have 10 weeks of them already this season. I hope for his sake and the team's (and the suffering fans) that he has a blinder. I'm just not expecting it, based on form.

It's actually 3 weeks, if you do the maths.

18 weeks = 16 games of Burt at fullback - 10 games of Hayne in just as poor form - 3 games where he cost the team by being suspended = 3 games up his sleeve to prove his worth to the first grade team.

And being honest, there are probably only 3 weeks left anyway before our mathematical chances of making the 8 expire, unless there's a massive turn around in form.

Fingers crossed.

Looking forward to his kick returns. I hope he's been rehearsing. Jarryd: it's jog a bit, jump, take the tackle.

Hope you prove me wrong buddy.

I agree that it is just a game. That's why all the sh*t that is being flung at the Club by people who claim to be supporters really disappoints me.
All they are doing is what HADLEY gets slammed from pillar to post on this forum..They are doing that work for free and he is making a living out of it .
f**k Hadley, and f**k the knockers.

Well considerin that Cayless and Hindy have both been poor this year, and those blokes are on more, i think Hayne has ample time to cement his spot.
;-) Since when is Caylo played for more minutes than Hayne... except when Hayne stupidly got himself suspended? Talk about blinkers...

* Oh, you mean paid more... Would you seriously take Hayne over Hindmarsh for contribution to this team, week in week out? Talk about blinkers...

But not toward a claim that he should be picked out of position at fullback...?

Anyway, we've been through this since precious went to the media to try and force his way off the wing. He's got his wish, and now he has to make it come good, for his own and the teams' sake. Here's hoping... and remember, no excuses ;-)

Fair enough, i just want you guys to atleast give him a couple of weeks to cement himself, after all, Burt has had a hold on the position for 21 weeks;-)

21 weeks? It was 18 weeks last night, which was then shown to be only 16 games - and only 3 games more than Jarryd has played (or been suspended for) in first grade this season... the get out of jail free card excuses for Hayne are growing by the minute
