We need a real superstar in the backline.

Hayne would be it.

Manly have done well buying one superstar a year and surrounding them with competent teammates.

Hayne is a superstar no doubt in that, but in the back end of this season i think brown showed that he is going to grow into a great player, i say lets stick with him.

Who? orford? Kite? Lyon? Bell?

All over rated & by far very well down the ladder in comparison to other players in the same positions.

None would rank in the top 10 in their positions.

And the sterwars are local juniors.

I think thats a bit harsh on Orford and Kite, although i agree with Bell and Lyon not in the top 10 for their positions.

would be great for the club if we could get hayne but i dont think parra would let go of him without a fight and a lot of money

Manly's recruitment since 2003 got them to a GF.

Ours has seen the Sharks make the top 8 once in that time.

Hayne is the sort of player we need. Not Simmons and Andersons.

Oh you're wrong Reefy, we have got one in the Orford vein. Both are over rated and overpaid and both wear 7.

And both teams perform better when they're not playing........

Well if Hayne stays an Eel, Finch would have to be on the slide. Not to mention Inu.

They won't be able to keep them all and although people will laugh at the idea of Finch being a worthy buy look at what we have instead.............

No one needa a superstar half anymore. An adequate half will do. We have neither. Finch is adequate.

Be nice to have a superstar hooker and fullback though. THESE are essential in RL circa 2000s.

Judging from the Premier League GF the Eels have some quality backs who are unlikely to see FG there. I'd rather we chase them to be honest. They would be a hell of a lot cheaper than Hayne.

Hayne, nah.

I like the idea though instead of recruiting 3 almost capable First graders they'd splash out and sign a star player.

But Hayne, nah.

We would be a long shot to get hayne...the only thing souths have left is to find the pen for jarryd to sign!

Ive also heard mez is on the outta at souths if hayne was to sign! They have already withdrawn their original offer for mez...by quite a considerable amount for a bloke to bring up a family! id take him back in a heart beat!
