I think I'd prefer Rogers in the centres or at 5/8th and Peachey at fullback. He used to play on the right wing didn't he? I know he was outside ET on the right. That would lead me to believe that he probably wouldn't want to play left centre. He does make good plays down the left for the Waratahs and the Wallaby's though.

Ihope we get him. Otherwise, go for El Masri. Gotta get a 80-90% goal kicker.

the fact he used to MAYBE play on the right WING occasionally or otherwise... does not suggest in any way, shape or form that he wouldnt want to play left CENTRE...or any position on the left for that matter. particularly when he also scored some very good tries down the left for the sharks

Nope, Rogers to 5/8.. You dont weaken one good postion, to strengthen another.. Although the Broncos did it with Lockyer. :? Peach stays at fullback, Rogers goes to 5/8..

But besides that, matty won't be playing 5/8th. or any other position that is more of a defnesive position than an attacking postion. Theres no way he could cope with 30-35 tackles a week & one of the major reasons he went to union anyway.

I'd keep Bird. Which ever postion Rogers isn't in. If Rogers plays 5/8th then Bird goes to left centre, he basically plays that role anyway. I'd love to see Rogers at left centre and Bird at 5/8th or lock.
