I hate Parra for the most part but the fact that Osbourne has continued with this work is a great achievement for the club and all the players involved.
I spent some time there myself in Rwanda, Kenya and Uganda and it is the most rewarding time that you can experience. Forget bullsh*t tourist attractions in Europe and the rest of the world. Going to Africa and seeing the people there is the most rewarding holiday anyone can organise. Plus there are attractions of the Serengetti, the Crater to get some animal action in. You will never go to a Zoo again.
I went there a few years ago when I was pretty young and would love to go again. Spending time in the communities and doing some work is brilliant. You feel good knowing that you can help the people over there ever so slightly knowing what they go thru. It really does put a lot of things in perspective.
And for anyone ever going, going to see the Gorillas in their natural habitat is life changing. You will drive thru bumpy road around the mountains for hours and then trek thru slippery bushland for more hours but when you finally see the Gorillas, it will be all worth it. Looks like the players got to see them.
Good on Parra for keeping this going.
