FORMER Canterbury and Penrith enforcer Frank Pritchard is considering reneging on a rich deal with Hull FC for a shock move to New Zealand Warriors.
The Daily Telegraph understands the Warriors and Pritchard have held secret contract talks.
Pritchard signed with Hull for two years but was always reluctant to move to England. The deal is now in doubt and the Warriors are ready to swoop.
It is understood Pritchards manager, Mario Tartak, may fly to England on Monday to discuss his clients future with Hull FC.
Pritchard hasnt yet moved to England to live.
Warriors chief executive, Jim Doyle, was reluctant to comment on Thursday but did concede: As far as were concerned he is going to Hull but, if he doesnt, we would be interested.
It remains to be seen whether Hull will allow Pritchard to walk away from the deal. Should Hull dig in, Pritchard may have no option but to play in Super League. Having a homesick player who is disinterested may though persuade Hull to set Pritchard free.
The Warriors would need to offload a star to accommodate Pritchard. And that player could be centre Konrad Hurrell, who has attracted some interest from New Zealand rugby union franchises.
