I still think the NRL should pay the players direct from the yearly grant to each club.
Wouldn’t stop the 3rd party payments being subject to cheating but what would simplify one part of the cap so the auditors can concentrate on catching the cheats.

It’s a simple fix. The nrl uses the grant to pay salaries and they control it.

They only allow 3rd party so that irritant can happen and we don’t lose players to other codes.
