Well it's back to the Warriors and oh god we have the Storm. A few changes need to be made here and now:

1: Brent Webb- I think he's the club's most consistent and committed backliner. There's a lot to like about Webb, apart from his kick returns.

2: Francis Meli- Just getting back from injury, so he is spared the axe. A higer workrate nessecary to keep his spot.

3: L. Anderson- Just outshines his bro in this one, gets more involved and is very solid. Solid is what we need at the moment.

4: Tony Martin- A lot to like about him. He's commited and gives good service to his wingman, providing they are both on the same page.

5: Manu Viteivai (spelling)- Time to give this kid a shot. Why not, gives a greater size to this side of the field to compensate for Martin. Let's see what he can do.

6: Lance Hohaia- Time for a change, something has got to give. We have to change a halfs combination that clearly isn't functioning.

7: Stacey Jones- The side can't go without him, Leuluai may have taken his spot at test level, but he clearly didn't deliver. So why do it at club level.

8: Ifeata Paeleasinna- This forward pack needs rearranging. He's been going well in the BC, so he deserves the call up.

9: Tevita Latu- A part of my rearranged line up, but really Latu and Dezolt would just be rotated as neither are at full fitness.

10: Jerry Seu Seu- More go forward from Jerry would be good, I think he is getting there slowly, still down on fitness.

11: Epalahame Lauaki- A lot of pressure goes on Lauaki now. He needs to keep going the way he is and he should be alright.

12: Sione Faumuina- I think you have to put up with the mistakes with this guy. he plays flamboyant footy, it's high risk. But when it comes off it's worth it. Keep him more focused to one side of the field though.

13: Awen Guttenbiel- He should be fit for this one and in his more natural positon where he can deal with the higher workrate.

Bench:-

Richard Villisanti: More to stagger the current situation that we have at the moment, using Villisanti as an impact player.

Matt Jobson: We have to fix this go forward problem so just add another prop.

Paul Dezolt: A constant rotation with Latu should see a more effective service from dummy half.

Wairangi Koopu: The unrecognised work horse, probably gets lost in all the stats, but he is always up there.

It will be very interesting to see what Mr Anderson does after the Kiwis result. Probably happy he doesn't have to deal with Vagana. Toopi needs to be dropped after that effort tonight, he is clearly struggling.

It just makes you wonder which fringe players are going to come into the side, if any. Surely there needs to be some new blood injected into this limp team.

Marsh is due to arrive back about now, I'd move Martin to the Wing and bring back the old styled defensive attack pattern we had in 2002, by adding a Carlaw type player there in Vinnie, Martins pace would complement such a move and player.

Also I would run Koopu on Meli's wing, simply because Koopu has more pace, a better defensive game and wont be missing in the hitup department, he'll get involved up to 80% more than Meli would.

Sullivan must come into the equation eventually, heres a guy with a lot of skill and strong on defense, give the man his due, Now if monday sees Ali remain with the Warriors, I'd pick Ali in place of Guttenbeil, because Ali would have more to prove, hence he'd be on fire. :D

Marsh hasn't even been cleared to resume light training yet

PJ has been doing weights training for months, he has also been dong ball skills etc, the only training he can not participate in is contact.

Talked to him at training a week ago and he said hopefully another 5 weeks.

I'd pick Mellars, keep him interested in the Warriors. I was surprised neither he, Vatuvei or Fa'afili weren't selected ahead of Murphy. What Henry Fa'afili has done wrong is beyond me, I'll leave that to the powers that be. Surely if Fa'afili was dropped on his Newcastle performance, Murphy on the same consistencies has played his last game for a while for his woeful inept performance against the Bulldogs.

I'd have Sullivan on the bench, to provide some ball playing impetus that we're going to lose short term, long term, forever term with Ali Lauitiiti's explusion from the club.

Perenara would be my five eighth on the news Hohaia has twinged his knee again. We need someone to take the kicking pressure off Jones, Perenara I hear has a prodigious boot and has been in excellent early season for Marist Richmond. He deserves a shot.

I'm putting Villasanti to the bench, Paleaaesina to start to prevent the non go forward issues when Seu Seu and Villasanti are both off reading the Woman's Days for 30 minutes of each half. Their productivity and game time is of major concern, I sincerely hope, particularly with Villasanti that has been addressed. Last night I watched the Eels/Sharks game, the first sub came in the 21st minute. At the Warriors, we've been making 2 subs by between the 8th-12th minute.

So many damn names!

It's a going to be a problem for the Warriors early in most seasons I think - having plenty of talent to choose from, but sacrificing consistency until the best combinations are settled on.

After their last 2 seasons the Warriors seem convinced they'll eventually win the NRL by timing their run, but if Anderson is still fiddling in Rd 15 this season will most likely be a write-off. Signs of who owns each jersey need to be more apparent by then.

knowing DA he will probly make 1 change and that will probably be murphy for fa'afili, i doubt he will bring in the likes of perenara, hohaia, manu vatuvei and mellars but this would be my squad:
1. Brent Webb
2. Francis Meli
3. Clinton Toopi(still seems to be able to break the line and he passes it then he is not far off his best)
4. Tony Martin
5. Manu Vatuvei(need someone big and strong to help out martin)
6. Lance Hohaia if fit but if not then perenara
7. Stacey Jones
8. Iafeta Paleaesina
9. Tevita Latu
10. Richard villisanti
11. Epalahame Lauaki
12. Sione Faumuina
13. Awen Guttenbeil
RESERVES:
14. Vinnie Anderson
15. Jerry Seuseu(can come on when the defence is more tired and that way they will not move up as quickly this giving jerry more time to wind up)
16. Mark Tookey(same as above)
17. Wairangi Koopu

i cant see him leaving leuleuai out of the squad unfourtunately, also how long until jerome ropati comes back? because he looked very solid in defence and attack

but if you do that then meli will have to reasure his faith in his centre when defending because IMO he has only just started to trust toopi, so i think we should keep them together

It wont matter who playing next to him he'll still rush up in defense and make mistakes.

From what i've seen this season Toopi has played better when they have been apart.

Maybe Anderson should play next to him?
