It's a tough one alright.
I would like to see Bird given a go in a team that's actually providing a decent platform for him. Having said that, Hilder hasn't put a foot wrong at 5/8th though (although I don't think it's his natural position).
But bloody Dumas has come along and played a couple of blinders, and I think he looks a better proposition at lock than Hilder.
And I agree that Bird will end up as a lock once he beefs up a little more.
We're certainly looking the strongest we have around the base of the scrum for donkey's years.
Throw a maturing Russ Aitken into the equation and Stu is going to have some selection dilemma's over the coming seasons.
