Hillsborough- 20 years on.

This thread is dedicated to those 96 who went to Hillsborough for the F.A Cup tie against Nottingham Forest 20 years ago, just going to watch the team they had grown up following and with no idea that they would never return that day. Amongst those dead were Steven Gerrard's 10 year old cousin. Hopefully one day justice will prevail for the 96 who lost their lives that afternoon, and the poor policing inside the ground will be given the attention it deserves.

Indeed, many Evertonians lost family and friends that day in 1989. Even now, a considerable number of them still boycott The Sun after their reporting of the incident, which to say the least makes the Telegraph look like quality journalism.

im always critical of english football, but this should also be a moment of praising the work that everyone involved, from the fa to the fans in regards to how far english football crowds have come since the 80s.
