Injury I think. Hopkins will be moving in to the lock position for the Tigers game.

on the bright side, it's a chance for our other forwards to prove their worth

Good that the Eels have Hopkins he is a good replacement.

Cannings, Tsoulos, Thorman, Pai, Delaney and Muspratt

pretty damn big bench.

Ian Hindmarsh is also not playing in this weekends trial for the Raiders. Apparently has some wedding in the family or something. I doubt very much that Hindy is really injured....

Please be advised that Parramatta Eels player Nathan Hindmarsh has been ruled out of Saturday’s Charity Challenge against the Wests Tigers at Campbelltown.

Hindmarsh has a slight groin injury which medical staff recommended required a couple of days rest.

Lee Hopkins has been moved into the starting side and will take Hindmarsh’s place at lock.

Im feeling a little more confident now....Hindy is your best and a big loss.Hopkins is a good player but will never carve like Hindy.

I think you have come back to the field quite a bit......

It makes it a bit closer. Hopefully Hindy being out of the team doesn't have the same impact as it did last year - however judging on the trial form it shouldn't be that big a deal anymore.

just because they say injury doesnt mean injury...
last year a NSW blues cricketer lives down my street and his wife had a child so he couldnt play in the game so they said he had an ankle injury

I sms a certain poster on this site with the news and she indicated that she may have gone too hard on him  Actually that may not be such a joke in the current climate. :?

I think you'll find his sister is getting married tomorrow so that may well be the real reason his not playing.

Why wouldn't they just say that then :?

It would be a perfectly good reason to miss a trial and not get fans thinking "oh no, not another year of injuries"

It would have been good to have the Hindy at lock experiment in the trials but he is one player that can miss some football and come back like he's not been out. Hopkins and whoever else gets additional play time will be better for the run anyway.
