Don't get me wrong Min was very good but it porves yet again that defence workload is under rated and fancy footwork is over rated in the modern game

I reckon!! Hindy was more deserving than Minichiello, who was good, but not as good as Hindy was. Oh well, that's the thing with Hindy though, he's such a great man that he doesn't want the recognition he deserves, he's just happy to play footy

Again it comes down to players opinion - players player awards most often do. We disagreed when it was a similar award was given to Daniel Wagon by his peers and we disagree about this one.

I'm not a huge Mini fan, but what i did notice watching the final was that even before the GB kickers put foot to ball, Minichiello was already sprinting to a position where he thought the ball would go, and almost everytime he got it right!

So yeah, if that's how come the GB kicking game looked so poor (even in the Wigan game where they beat us), then I can see why players would have given the award to him. The mileage the team got out of always shutting down that kicking game was a huge factor.

Hindy has won his fair share of awards in his league career. He doesn't need a medal to say he had a great tour. He has the respect now of the whole league world, much better than a peice of metal.

I was commenting on while Hindy may have been ripped off this year, many more players were ripped off last Kangaroo Tour, not in regards to the Harry Sunderland Medal but.....
