how the f**k would you know ya moron!!

C'mon Mate, there's not a thread in this forum related to Nathan Hindmarsh which doesn't have a sarcarstic comment from Skeepe. He just suffers from a rare mental illness known as

Antinathanhindmarshiwishalantonguewouldgetmorerecognition Disorder

Hindmarsh is a top choice imo, Jamie Simpson would have been close, Hindmarsh is a good example of everything that is good in the game imo.

I applaud that the NRL were able to find a player who hadn't defecated in public, assaulted anyone of any gender, glassed his girlfriend or participated in "team bonding" with foreign waitresses in motel rooms. Any rugby league player who managed to avoid that this year deserves a bloody medal.

Off the top of my head, Hindy has:

The Nathan Hindmarsh Cup
He participates actively in Hope: Rwanda
He's an Ambassador to Ronald McDonald House
He spends a lot of time at Westmead Hospital
He donates a lot of time, effort and I believe even money to the Starlight Foundation

I am not saying he's the greatest ever, but the man does a lot of charity work and one's like/dislike for him as a player should not factor in it. He is a great ambassador for the game of rugby league and I am proud to have him as an Eel.

yup before the awards I saw all the nomination forms for the ken stephens finalists and hindy's was AMAZING. but then, to be honest, so were the rest too.

not one of them didn't deserve to get the medal. it's like choosing between jesus and ghandi.

(ps going to the one community awards is totally uplifting but also makes you feel like a completely sh*t person by comparison. didn't know whether to clap or weep)

That's good to hear. Obviously I am stoked Hindy won it, but the fact that it was so hard to split is really, really great news for the game.

not even kidding when I read nick kenny's nomination I got GOOSEBUMPS. how lame am I??

I think the bit that tipped me over the edge was when I found out he has been single-handedly training a broncos waterboy for free in extra sessions AFTER team training to help strengthen his muscles (he has spina bifida). MARRY ME PLS NICK.

oh yeh Sassy and I were tearing up most of the night. when we got the brief on Monday i just couldn't get over the amazing stuff that all the boys do, but reading Nick Kenny's piece just killed me. he is incredible.

Hindy is a doll and was awesome to interview, congratulations to him and everyone else that was honoured on the night. it was brilliant to be there!
