Thanks for the reports.

Tim Auremi was named SG Ball player of the year.
Vaipuna Tia Kilifi was named Harold Matthews player of the year.

Does anyone know the full NSW U16s side?

From Para: Jacob Gagan, Rodney Moefaauo, Christopher Ulugia and Jason Wehbe

From Penrith: Harry Seijka , Vaipuna Tia Kilifi and the third player I'm not sure of. Perhaps it is Jon Pepa??

Yeah Pepa is also in the side.

Gagan is only Under-15s age group! Amazing achievement.

Tell me more.

The kid is from the strong Cabramatta club. He recently won the best player award at the Sydney CHS championships. He will be representing Sydney Gold at the NSW C'ships at Toronto in a couple of weeks. He is normally a fullback but plays on the wing for Para. He goes to Westfields Sports High School and is very fast. He would be in the top three fastest players at Para. Many thought Para's other winger Sam Ahofono would make the team.

Thanks. What is Gagan's ethnic background?

the chooks have juniors ?

great work by our Matt boys

Had imports galore in their side - mainly from Queensland, NZ and the bush.

Troy Pezet will not be coaching at Para next season. I think he has been signed to the Melbourne/Central Coast Storm.

Matts winning coach Michael Lewis I'm sure will be a contender for the position next season.

Our man Rambo..What a legend.
How did Solo go in the Matts final?

He went well when he was on there making plenty of ground. But it was noticable when he and the other prop were off. Their replacements were not that good. Whereas Para's replacements were as strong, if not stronger, than the starting lineup. I think that was the difference between the teams - the depth.

2008 NSWRL District Rep Grand Finals
A crowd of approximaely 2,500 spectators attended the NSWRL District Rep Final at Western Weekender Stadium on Sat 17 May 2008.
Harold Matthews Cup
Parramatta upset Penrith to claim their 17 Tiltle in the H Matthews Cup Grand Final to win 30 - 17. Penrith who were previously undefeated could not hold out a very enthusiastic Parramatta team who were prepared to the minute by Michael Lewis.
The 2008 Harold Mathews player of the year Trophy was presented to Vaipuna Tia Kilifi (Penrith) by NSWRL GeneralManager Geoff Carr
SG Ball Cup
Sydney Roosters proved too strong for Parramatta SG Ball to take only their 2nd Title to win 38 - 20 in a very impressive victory. The Scott Murray team which came from 4th Position controlled the ball to maintain pressure on Parramatta to take the SGBall trophy
The 2008 SG Ball Player of the Year was presented to Parramatta captain Tim Auremi

I'm expecting Auremi and possibly Kelly to step up to the plate in the NYC in the coming weeks.

I agree. Kelly must be given a go despite his average game last Saturday. What about Nathan Gardiner Stagger?

sh*t yeah...I'm a big fan of Gardiner and we appear to be a little skinny of decent outside backs in the 20's.

I actually thought that he should of got a run last year.

That would normally be the case when SG Ball have finished that the standouts get a run in the 20's

I know mate, but he was the stand out last year..highest point scorer in the comp, try scoring machine and broke records for most points in a game, the only thing that may of been holding him back was his age.

Auremi will get a Shot. I have been told that Albert is young enough to Play SG Ball next year. Where as Tim is not.

I like Nathan Gardner as well, I was worried about the close to Plaster cast worth of Strapping on his Right leg (i think it was right).
