the whole Covid thing has been pretty surreal for me, being more in the thick of it in Sydney but also less affected than many as I worked right through it (been busier than ever) and in a long distance relationship with my American gf so my life for the last year and a half was just work, saving, FaceTime calls and trying to make travel plans. Finally all paid off in mid December when I jetted off over here for a couple of months, luckily I got out of Sydney just before the omicron shitstorm hit. hope you’re all having a good one with your loved ones.

As previously mentioned in the middle of a massive Covid outbreak. Im currently on day 5 as i went for a test on Boxing day and it came back positive. Crazy times in the world rite now but hoping a 2022 is better for everyone

Hope you only have a mild version of Covid bro. I've just had four mates return positive tests but they live in apartments with pretty much connected balconies, so plan to have a sick NYE together.

Currently readjusting our plans for NYE - likely going to hit Victoria Park for a picnic/BBQ now, out in the open, almost a repeat of last year's NYE.

me and the Gf both tested positive in the last couple of days and we must’ve caught it in pre Christmas socialising. But we’re holed up in a comfy hotel room for a few days and thankfully we haven’t been too sick so while It’s a pain in the arse things could be far worse.

Sister has caught it on the south coast of Nsw and she’s home bound. A big family holiday thing was cancelled but as long as she is ok, that’s nothing.

No cure or anything, but you could do worse than try to get some of that genuine NZ Manuka Honey as it’s a general health boost and eat plenty of good food. Lots of salads, vegetables and stuff. That will help strengthen your body’s case.

We are copying the Manuka Honey thing here in Oz, but it’s a bit like trying to copy the Haka. Unless it’s the genuine NZ article, from a school group to the All blacks -it just doesn’t cut it.

The good news for you is that this version is imminently much less intense and so forth.

We are kind of waiting to catch it here in western Sydney. It’s everywhere. I get those text alerts every other day. Takes 4 hours plus to get a drive through test etc.
