Sounds like there are some whispers already perhaps?

Smeg thinks he has an in with Tom Shines
More chance of soufs winning a comp than supercoach being punted or walking away.
The real fear is some idiot will promote sizzler or gentle

Whoops I got all excited and misread it as sheens going within 2 weeks

sheens flags a question and talks about how hard it is when established clubbers (and he names skando, benny g, fitzy) start to think about moving on, then gives a bit of an aside, almost with a wink and a smile, and says "my time might come too, just quietly"... but of course no-one picks it up to run with it or of they did, WTV has conveniently edited it out for our protection...

Well I decided to give it another go and to my suprise I was able to watch it without any issues. No idea why it worked this time. But it did open in its own window this time and had a TV screen like frame around it. I will watch WTV from now in seeing as its working.

Did that interview seem awkward to anyone else here? Maybe I'm reading too much into it but there was just something about it that felt odd.

O/T slightly, but somebody mentioned something about the Dragons going to offer a contract to Hino, apparently was talked about on Talking Sport or some such program last night. Anybody know anything about this, is it just gossip or are there any legs to the story?

Well it's probably not an easy announcement to make:

"Hey I'm the club captain and the real reason why we haven't got the spoon in the last couple of seasons but because of 'salary cap' restraints I've been shown the door and my best option is Huddersfield all the way over on the other freaking side of the planet..."

Could be tricky to put that sort of thing into personable terms. Hodgo's done a great job there...

yeah, I think it was Bretts body language... he didn't look at all like someone looking forward to the next chapter of his career. I guess it was a hard interview to do.

Maybe he won't McDonnell is behind Gallant at the Magpies so you never know. The timing of Lazarus's injury could not have been worse for him though

So the folks at wests rate him behind gallant but supercoach shines thinks he is worthy on an NRL start. Obviously Ronald has more pull with WT than WM. Shame really as WM and JUnior are well suited to eachother

Hodgson is a massive loss. Safe as houses, chimes in to support our attack because we have a spastic in the #7 jersey, is tough as nails, continually belted yet still gets up.

He's lost a yard of pace from 05 but is still quality. Last year I would have agreed with this decision to release him, but he is back to his best this year, so its a bit of a risk IMO.

But good luck to him. A great player and thoroughly deserves a good send off. IMO our best ever signing after Prince.

A better signing than Prince, hands down.

A more consistent player in his position (while at the Tigers, at least), and is only leaving because we can't afford to keep him...

Horses for courses. Not much between them but I'd have Prince slightly ahead.

Hodgson has been (and still is) a vital cog though.
