None of the English clubs in the North are based in particularly desirable areas. I'd say you play for London Harlequins or go the Johnny Wilson and play in Perpignan for Catalans Dragons. I hope Hodgo et al get decent remuneration for playing in a sh*thole like Huddersfield.

It's in this valley .. you half expect to see Postman Pat or some other northern mong rattle past on the Greendale rocket. Has this thick setting fog that always seems to settle. The ground is a shlep from the station. You see boarded up shops and it looks like nothing happens there. The saving grace is the George Hotel .. and the Transpennine Express that gets you to Leeds in about 25 mins or Manchester in about 30. Near those old RL towns like Dewsbury and Batley ... it is so so so Yorkshire

The George is a great little boozer. But yeah, the rest of the place is proper depressing.

Leeds aint a bad little town IMO.

i was disappointed to hear hodgo is leaving he was one of my favourites during his time at parra and even now every time i watch a tigers game i keep an eye out for him your next fullback better wear a pair of size 28's because they have some very big shoes to fill
